For the People that Say Tiger Wood's Divorce is a good thing

I'm just wondering why do you think it will help him? He and his wife are divorced and I'm sure he still cares about her, and who knows what is going to happen to his two very young children. I just want you guys opinion.

It's good for his wife. She'd look like a damn fool if she stayed with him. Now if he cheated once or twice then I can see her staying with him. But damn as many times as he cheated you can tell he don't love her, there's no way he loves that woman.

It isn't like he fricked up once with one woman, the dude has slept with half of america.

I don't care about Tiger Woods' personal life. I care about watching him play golf and this will probably mean that he'll be back to playing golf with less of a break

I know it's good for his wife because yeah, Tiger Woods has slept with every woman over the age of 21. He did say he wanted to resolve the problems with his wife, they are resolved, and they got a divorce. Now that it's over with, yeah I guess he will be back on the course.

Okay, this has gone too far. I wish that all the non-sports fans on TMZ, etc. would stay out of the sports world. That's what happens when the line blurs between sports star and celebrity.
I don't know anyone who is surprised about the recent revelations about Tiger. He's not the first powerful man or athlete to cheat on his wife. He didn't cheat more than anyone else. He didn't fall further than anyone else. This is not something that ESPN would have even paid much attention to except that every Extra, TMZ, whatever was showing it 24/7. Press coverage was even more than when Anna Nicole Smith died.
To all of you non-sports fans who surf the waves of celebrity scandal because you have no life away from the TV, leave sports alone, please! There is no reason to bring down the sport of golf when you could be watching the Real Housewives of Whatever.

I want to see how he will come back. Divorce sucks for everyone, and seeing your kids on a schedule sucks worse. Wonder how this will affect his golf game

i don't care if it helps Tiger.
she is the victim in this case, and it will help her.

Some of you jock sniffers are ridiculous.
Ya ESPN wouldn't have covered this story at all.

I love watching Tiger play as much as the next guy. I was 13 or 14 I think when Tiger won his first Masters and I got my fist set of golf clubs that next week. I love the game and I haven't stopped playing since.
BUT
Like it or not it's the biggest sports story of the year.

considering how broken the marriage is from the combination of his cheating and the massive attention on his cheating I'd say divorce is the only option.
She's been more than embarrassed in the international media... no way she can salvage any dignity if she stays with him
For him, better to walk away sooner rather than later too... the cost will be dear but it will kill the story and he can go back to just playing golf
As far as the kids go if he cares about them he can pursue visitation rights and they'll probably be no worse off than any kids of famous people tend to be

quote:Seriously? I wasn't talking about my best friends. I was referring to famous cheaters--Bill Clinton and JFK and more than a few NBA players come to mind. There are certainly others. And plenty of them are powerful men known for having multiple mistresses. I'm not condoning it. I'm just saying that it has zero affect on how I view Tiger. To me he is a golfer. I'm not interested in the demise of the PGA. If I decide to head out to the Byron this year (or the Colonial), I'd like to see Tiger when I'm there. People interested in hearing the smarmy details of the intimate lives of others should stick to John and Kate plus whatever.
What kind of crowd do you hang out with?

All these people acting betrayed about Tiger's philandering amaze me... I mean did they seriously think they knew him personally?
He's a great athlete... most great athletes are kinda jerks because they've had their butt kissed from every direction since they were 12 years old
If you ever find yourself talking about the personal life of a famous athlete/actor/etc who you don't personally know with a lot of emotion you need to step back and re-evaluate... you don't know them and they are not famous for what kind of person they are
