don't know if i could put them in order so will just list some
Joey Thibodeaux would probably be first-wins with mediocre talent, gets the most out of what he has
Sid Edwards-doesnt really coach but has good assistants so that counts
Travis Bourgeois-Episcopal-similar to thibodeaux, he has made them consistently competitive which is a huge improvement from what they had before him
Kenny Guillot
Guy Mistretta-redempt

thanks for the input. Mistretta seems to be falling in the Les Miles category as Sid built the program up to State title and it seems to be sliding.

Anybody have any idea what these guys make? I heard the highest paid HS coach in Texas pulls down close to $150K. Just curious how these guys compare.

zachary and central pay their coaches well,in the 6 figures i have heard (not sure how reliable) i think guillot is probably compensated well to.

I think Weiner deserves to be on this list...
I don't think that he is GREAT but i think to be able to win 8-12 games a year consistently is pretty damn good.

Weiner gets the most out of what he has to work with.

You serious about Travis Bourgeois? I guess things have improved since I played there. I felt that bringing in Wally Stevens is what really turned things around there.

Weiner couldn't win state in 1992 with Warrick Dunn and Kevin Franklin on his roster. He couldn't win in 1996 with Major Applewhite and Travis Minor on his roster. I think they made it to state in either 90 or 91 and lost by 50 points or something like that.

Larry Dauterive, is worse by far.

This.
I worked for Warren Capone back when he had Linebacker's Bar & Grill on Essen Ln. He was pretty damn arrogant and gave all of his friends free meals. Maybe that's why he went out of business so quickly.
