Rare bourbon

My brother-in-law loves bourbon. He is a good man. I want to get him some rare bourbon, some good stuff, for Christmas. He loves Maker's Mark, but I want to get him something he's probably never had before. Any pointers?

Pappy Van Winkle would be one that he might not have had. Black Maple Hill is another that might be easier to find. If you want to try something different and local, Sazerac sometimes has a limited edition rye whisky.

I do like giving Bookers.. It generally comes in a nice crate. Its generally 45-50 dollars.

I enjoy a good brandy, but a friend brought over some Basil Hayden's & It's a pretty good sippin' whiskey.

Over Maker's since it's only 6 years old.
Still working on some Bulleit and Elijah Craig from last Christmas. Eagle Rare.
