I can't think of a better one when you consider:

1. the ability to win consistently on the field

2. the ability to win without cheating

3. the ability to attract top national recruits to your program

For my money, Saban is the top college FB coach in America right now, better even than Pete Carroll.

The only thing he didn't do at LSU was give us two undefeated seasons. Is the talent level that much better in Alabama than Louisiana?

Easily the best coach. I really wish he and his wife could have watched their oak trees grow old in Baton Rouge like she said they would!

He hasn't done that anywhere, sonnyboy.

He's the coach at Alabama and they are known for their tradition of cheating.

I don't see Saban allowing that, though. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think he'd go along with cheating.

They've already had the textbook scandal while he's been there and they had to vacate several wins that were under his tenure there.

Before this year I would have said Pete Carroll. Not after this year, however. For my money Saban is the best for now.

I disagree, it took him the same amount of time to get to the NC as it did Les Miles. Alabama was in great shape when he got there...and they are Alabama. Miles of course went on to win the championship, we will see what happens. I am calling the upset, UT wins. I can take UT, UF, and LSU being the schools with two BSCNC. LSU will definitely be the first to 3.

hard to argue No....

interested to see what happens vs Texas, lil Nicky knows Muschamp better than just about anyone.

Saban with this much time to prepare > Mack Brown
