Think European soccer.

Forget about this stupid conference crap.

You have a first division with 15 teams, 2nd with the next 15, and so on.

Bottom 3 teams drop a division, top 3 move up a division.

Yes there is turnover in college football, but think about the chance for a team to move up from the 4th division to winning it all over the course of a title.

Think about it. There would be NO BAD GAMES. NONE
Every game would matter because it would be round robbin. The ratings and attendence would be great and for the lower division teams there would be the incentive to raise the program to the next level.

Of course this country screws everything up and it makes no sense.

Of course you feeble minded people will call me an idiot when in fact you know deep inside this would make college football 100X more interesting on a weekly basis.

May your days be merry and bright and may all your LSU benchwarmers be white.

It would be interesting if it happened, but it'd be impossible to implement. And cfb is so much about rivalries/tradition, that this can be ruined. It's not bad, though.

I do think something like this would be a lot better for pros, though.

And, also, I hate when people say this.

Agreed. frick rivalries, tradition, conference ties, regional football. All the things that make CFB great.

Have you thought about how fricked up scheduling and travel would be?

No, not really. Remember how awesome 07 was? App. St. over Michigan. Stanford over USC. The intensity of Bama Auburn this year. All of that would we be gone.

why?

Travel is too expensive, this helps curb the cost ans increase interest by promoting regionalism

impossible. the closest thing to parity we have is the NFL (even though the limits of parity have been stretched hte last few years) and still not every game is a good game.

college football is interesting every weekend, every year, otherwise people wouldn't "donate" as much as they do just to keep their parking spots and game tickets.
