How awesome is it that these kids get to play a state championship game in the snow tonight?
South Panola 13-1 will take on Oak Grove 11-2 which is led by Steve McNair Jr. Should be a great game with contrasting styles on offense. Panola is a running grind it out team, while Oak Grove is a 4 wide air it out type.

Im gonna bundle up and be there for it tonight.

I may sound crazy but Ive never seen or played a football game in the snow, and I think it'd be cool to do this.

Oak Grove doesnt have a chance tonight, Rumor has it their starting QB is sick and in the hospital.

Geaux Warriors. Finally may be our year.. but snow would definitely benefit South Panola.. and all their holding ways on offense..

Must be a "rumor".

“It feels unreal,” said Warrior senior quarterback James McMahon. “We’ve been working hard for this for the whole three years I’ve been in the program, and we’re finally there.”

McMahon has been huge to the warrios success this season.. but he's missed most of the season with injury and the other guys have stepped in and stepped up.. The passing game takes a huge hit without him bc the other guys have no accuracy.. but they run well with McNair Jr at qb.

I wouldn't say the warriors have no chance.. we beat big ol Meridian twice this season.. and they knocked us out last year to win state against South P.

Panola is a University team...I cant remember a game they have played where they just havent made things look easy.

Please explain why in the world a state with 2 million people has SIX classifications? Makes no sense.

No competition. Play some out of state teams. How many of those kids across the border from Memphis?

They probably do it like Alabama does. In Bama there is no A, B, and C classes like there are in Louisiana. No matter how small or how few sports you play, the lowest you can go is 1A on up to 6A

I'm not really sure, to be honest...this is the first year they have done this....

to be honest though, class division is only dependent on the size of the school, not the population....so if a mid sized town (like batesville) had only one high school, it might be pretty large...

Yeah, the Kiln is a very small town, but has a 6A team.

Steve McNair, Jr. just returned a kickoff for a TD. South Panola is still up 49-14, though.
