I don't see any must-sign coaches out there willing to take an OC position. Weis is the only one that comes to mind but he is more than likely returning to the NFL.

Even after what belowpar posted?
sure, why not? Miles hasn't made an announcement, and he can always change his mind.

That said, I firmly believe that Miles has thought about replacing Crowton and is exploring options. Whether he pulls the trigger is another thing.

This isn't like the Malveto fiasco last year, when it was clear that those guys were in over their heads. Crowton has proven he can produce at LSU. But it has to be alarming that our two young QB's have not shown marked improvement.

I agree.. two players that have just looked like they were drowning out there..

And some of the play calling is really hard to grasp, too.

Honestly, I hope GC is a gonner.

Dude you have no fricking idea who I am. I have been a huge fan for many years now, yes even when we sucked. I lose my voice basically every game, from yelling when we are on defense. And I will always be a die-hard fan. Maybe you should stay home because if fricks like you support the team then we will be stuck with retarded coaches forever.

+1

Crowton has proven to be a top notch X-O's coach if he has the right weapons but he never seemed like the type to build his players. I think that Jefferson needs a good QB coach. He has so much talent and upside but the poor kid never had an experienced QB on the team to look up to.

Though I do fully agree with this statement, I will wait to base full judgement after the bowl game. JJ will now have ample time to correct his poorer tendencies. Between Arkansas and the Ga Tech game last year, JJ was night and day, I am hoping for the same this year, I just think JJ needs the time.

GC is probably not the quiskest of developers, but he has only been at his past several jobs for 3 years, I am OK with giving him a 4th. But, if we are not in the top 40-50, and that's being generous, in offense next year at least, send him away.

Seriously? With our offensive talent I don't know if I'm okay with 40-50. I would think top 20.

no chance. Crowton is as good as gone NOW. Miles is positioning for the next OC, but he wont make an announcement until after the bowl game.

Book it. I could care less what DD says or anyone else. If Miles kept Crowton after last year's offensive performance, he would be committing career suicide.

Even Miles is smarter than that...

I would hope so as well, but again, I am being generous. These are the current rankings, not the most terrible company, and Alabama is 36 FWIW.

41 Fresno State
42 Florida Atlantic
43 Tennessee
44 North Carolina State
45 Louisiana-Monroe
46 Bowling Green
47 Purdue
48 Utah
49 Virginia Tech
50 Western Michigan

A lot of fans will be really pissed if Crowton is not replaced. Two shitty years of a totally horrible and inept offense is not acceptable.

Also, who is a legit OC out there that is really available? That would come here?

Yeah, but we need a much better offense to compensate for the alabama d IMO. I think alabama can afford having a 36 ranked offense because of their D. LSU, i'm not so sure.

Seriously, why would I pay good money to watch that fricking travesty again next year? I'll just watch it on tv. If enough people do this maybe Alleva will get the point.

If you had any real balls you'd turn your season tickets in to send the message & allow other fans on the waiting list a chance at them. If you're going to be that prissy, just sack up and do the right thing.
