Some people just don't realize that the LSU offense was handcuffed all year b/c of JJ. We averaged 3.8 yards per carry rushing the football, which isn't a bad average. But if you take out half the sacks that JJ took we jump to somewhere around 4.2 yards per carry.
He's all we got we so we have to play with him, but there really isn't anything that I can see that would scare any defense. He doesn't run great (an option type QB or scrambler) nor does he show that he has the moxie to be a great throwing QB. He may prove me wrong, but I would expect more of the same even with a change at the OC next year.

some, not many. This excuse is old. Lee is less revered than JJ, he is white. JJ just happens to lead one of the worst BCS offenses in the country, and repeatedly makes the same mistakes. He is good for two drives a game. He is accepted, just not exalted.
Until the LSU fanbase erects a statue of JJ, some here will continue to race bait and claim he is hated. JJ has a solid start, he can solidify his legacy here at LSU with a good year next year.

if you really think jj locks onto 1 reciever and that it. Then u are an idiot. Tell me. How the hell do you know he locks onto a reciever? Can you see his eyes every play? No u cant. JJ isnt the best and he is far from the worst. U wanna blame him for the lack of running? U set up the pass through the run

90% of the people will tell you JJ locks onto one receiver. Secondary, safety valves are open many times and JJ takes sacks.

Not that I know of and they would be a moron if they did cause he is a solid NFL backup QB as we speak.....anywho I will say this most definitely at this point in time Matt Flynn is one of the better qb's to play at LSU.....JJ not there yet.

most accept the fact that he is a quality talent and a quality kid but most don't have a clue about how many things have to be executed correctly for a play to work. the camera never leaves the qb until the ball does. one missed blocking assignment...one bad route...one player gets beat or quits on the play and the qb either gets smoked or looks stupid. it's not fair...it's the way it is. he will improve greatly next year because he has met the greatest teacher there is...experience. I fully expect the offensive line and JJ to be strengths next year with an improved running game and better ball control. JMHO. geaux.

His football smarts are what's lacking...like not knowing when to get out of bounds, not understanding the importance of not taking a freakin' sack, not realizing that staring down your receivers isn't good and not checking off to other options when his first read is covered.

JJ will be as good in the future as the next QB coach can take him. Thats what he needs the most, someone that can teach young (as in inexperienced) QBs and develop their talent.

Seriously, JJ is a 19 year old TRUE SOPHOMORE. In his LSU career, he has thrown 20 TDs to only 7 INTs. He is progressing every game...not to mention he has been playing on a bum ankle.
JJ is far from perfect, but to say he has no potential is just plain ignorant. Bring in a good QB coach this offseason, and all you JJ bashers will be singing a different tune next year. I promise.
