Do you honestly believe that the competition that Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson and Russell Shepard offer at the QB position is equivalent to that of Russell, Flynn, and Perrilloux?

I honestly don't know why we're even talking about Garrett since the argument is about bringing in someone to back up the two-NFL QBs and the SEC MVP.

well black signed with saban

Ciron Black signed with Les Miles after decommting & almost signing with a Big 12 school. Miles name is on Ciron's 2005 scholarship papers. 100% Miles.

You would have known that had you bothered to pay attention to recruiting before parts of last year.

do you think it will be similar to the 2007 draft when FOUR saban recruits went in the 1st round?

No, this is just Miles first full NFL class, as I explained several pages back.

Of course, 2 of those 3 lost the last weekend of the season. So the jump was hardly unusual.

Having never seen the kid play, I can't speak to his ability; however, after seeing our QB play, or should I say lack thereof, over the past two seasons, I am hopeful he could present an improvement over the hapless crew of Lee and Jefferson.

We won the BCS NCG in both years, therefore it isn't contested

I think if we could have asked USC which title they wanted, AP or BCS, there would have been a resounding shout of "BCS, BCS, BCS"!!

Lucky for us, the 07 title Coach Miles gave us had no such baggage as every poll in the nation was headed my LSU!!!

Honestly, I don't know what you're trying to say with this. I'm not disputing that Saban couldn't get two QBs in a class... Miles did it with Shepard and Garrett.

I'm saying what QB in their right mind would want to challenge three future NFL QBS for a roster spot?

Nope. Sorry the 2007 National Championship trumps the 10-3 "Gerry's Kids" 2001 SEC Championship. And both 2005 & 2006 were better.

Sorry, now it makes sense. Best in the "county".

Here's a question for you ... how do you go from "best in the country" in 2005 to laughingstock of the nation. We are talking about the guy same guy aren't we?

2007 > 2001

2001 + 2003 > 2007 + 200?

winning the SEC > not winning the SEC

Are you serious? Miles gets crap for his interviews, but NO ONE thinks of him as the laughingstock of the nation. Except maybe you two.
