Does it really matter which bowl any team goes to? Aside from a nc, which gives your team bragging rights, don't all sec teams share bowl money equally?

There's generally four different tiers for bowl games, IMO:

For the Big 10, tier 1 is the NCG, tier 2 is the BCS, tier 3 is the Cap One and Outback, and tier 4 is the Alamo and lower.

I think tiers 1 and 2 for the SEC are the same, tier 3 is Cap One, Outback, and Cotton, tier 4 is the rest.

Within each of those tiers, some bowls are better, but that's kind of just a general placement by prestige.

Just my opinion.

LSU could win the Cotton Bowl, finish in the top 10, and it could help recruiting. All of the things you mentioned are still possible in Dallas.

if OU beats OSU and/or nebraksa loses bad in the championship game .. LSU would get little or no bump beating either of them ..

Getting rid of him is not an option as anybody with a grasp of economics knows.

Yes they would. If other teams lose in front of us, we are going to move up either way.

Why does it save Les? We did underachieve. We will have no wins against a ranked team. Still needed miracles to win against UGA and MSU. Struggled against Washington, Vandy, and La Tech with half their team injured.

Miles will not get fired this season. I want it to happen, but it won't. People, however, aren't going to forget what happened this season in these games and the fact our offense is utterly horrible, like historically horrible for this decade.

Now that it looks like Porter is gone, we might actually get a running backs coach that can <gasp> COACH, but we'll miss his recruiting for sure.

Yes they will if we go to the Cap One and win. Again I don't want them to lose at all but this will happen if LSU wins out. Just like politics people these days have short attention spans. For the players I hope for the best and the Cap One would be just that but it still doesn't stop me from being so pissed because MILES will be off the hot seat.

It took injuries to our QB, best RB, and best CB coupled with the worst officiating of the year for Bama to beat us in Bama.

It took a bunch of crazy shite for the consensus West preseason #1 to beat us on their home field.

Were a legit top 10 team if we handle up.
