Easy to say notre dame. But with the money, fan base and facilities they have, it is pathetic that Texas A&M has been irrelevant for 2 decades

A&M, UCLA, Clemson, and UGA all need to be in the conversation.

With all of these, you have to look at the local talent that's available along with BCS conference membership, etc. Yes, they have competition within their conferences, but for what they've done, and for some of them, for the numbers they produce to the NFL, they should be doing much, much more.

They have to recruit nationally and have not been able to for a long time.

Ridiculous.

2009 - 6-5
2008 - 10-3
2007 - 11-2 Sugar Bowl Champs
2006 - 9-4
2005 - 10-3 SEC Champs
2004 - 10-2
2003 - 11-3
2002 - 13-1 SEC Champs

Aside from the fact that their 2002 and 2007 teams didn't win national titles, they're basically on par with LSU.

I'm on the fence about including Nebraska, but the may be back on the rise.

A&M had a decent run in the 90's. I say Minnesota and Arizona State. Both big schools, albeit with mediocre recruiting bases.

Yea before this year I definitely would have said Nebraska, but it's got to be UCLA.

Nebraska may have history but with their location, they're fortunate to win as much as they do.

UCLA is the definition of an under-achiever.

I say good call on both, because I was close to including both.

With Minn's new stadium, I think that'll give recruiting a huge boost.

ASU could be a power if they get a couple of winning seasons and/or USC falls. They have a very appealing area for recruits IMO. Huge metro area in Phoenix with lots to do and HOT HOT HOT bitches. Guys like Burfict going to ASU and doing well for himself as a Freshman might open the door for more guys. I think ASU is much more appealing than anything in the southern Pac-10 outside of USC.

I wouldn't put Clemson on there either with who they have to contend with for recruits and the amount of blue chips in their vacenity.

Nah. Their recruiting just isn't good enough to compete with UT and OU. The main thing they have going for them is their weak division, so if they get to the Big XII CG pretty regularly, they could pull an upset or two.
