It’s always great to be a Tiger when everything is going well and LSU is contending for SEC titles and national championships. Every one wants to see and be seen in a swarm of purple and gold. Victory has a thousand fathers.

When adversity strikes the Tiger nation begins to implode and all signs of solidarity vanish. There is no shortage of venom as the head coach and coordinators are skewered by the once fawning fan base. All signs of rational thought disappear. Defeat becomes an orphan dressed in tattered purple and gold.

All that could be said about Les Miles and his staff has been spewed by an enraged fan base which seemingly would accept anyone but Miles at the head of the program. However, we should all bury our disappointment and reflect on where we are today. This is still an elite program, still ranked in the Top Twenty, in the upper half of the SEC, one or two plays away from facing Florida for an SEC title and a possible trip to the national title game for the third time in seven years. The players know how close they came to such a great season. They are also aware that the fickle fan base has turned on their leader and by extension on each one of them. They have accepted him and his mistakes because they know how much he cares for them as individuals, how he has encouraged them to move on from their own mistakes and just play the next play. It is time for the Tiger nation to do the same thing. There are two more game left this season and this team and staff needs the collective support of everyone who dares call himself or herself a Tiger fan.

I would suggest that in the next two days any and everyone who can possibly do so head out to the Tiger practice facility and cheer this young team as they arrive for practice and as they depart. Let them know WE ARE LSU.

Regarding practice: some of us work.

Now the game, however, is different. I hope the campus is full and the stadium is packed regardless of the feelings of the coaching staff.

Not sure if you've noticed, but its not just us. How many coaches has Alabama had in the past 10 years? What is the average number of coaches fired per year?

We don't pay them millions for nothing. Job security shouldn't be and isn't a must for anyone on the coaching staff.

I did state any and everyone who can possibly be there. I realize there are many who can't, but Thursday is a holiday.

Like you I hope there will be a huge crowd
Saturday so we can close this season in a good way.

You underestimate the intelligence of the players. I'm pretty sure PP doesn't think the fanbase has turned on him, no?

Grow up. "Accepting" repeated mistakes is an acceptance of mediocrity. Most coaches strive to dominate or be perfect, he strives to "compete". In the real world, repeated mistakes by the CEO of a company gets his arse booted to the curb, and based on the last letter I received from TAF, this damn sure is a business.

You think you are a great orator, but sorry to say man, that little "speech" doesn't cut it.

The best way to show support for our team is to show up Sat night and yell loud (unless all you're going to yell is "down in front"). Keep that shite at home.

Fans don't begin hating LSU just because they want a coaching change.

It's been a long time since I've read such assumptions. Pretty funny.

You could either look at any one of my many pregame speeches to my football team when I played and was coaching

Or you could look how I have a history degree. I know good speeches...yours seemed cliche

I wasn't speaking to a jr. high football team.

I can match you with degrees and one up you, but that is not the issue.

I was just trying to encourage our fan base to move on and play the next play and the next game. If you want to critique it and call it cliched you miss the whole point. At least my thoughts are up there for viewing and consideration. All I see from you is pithy comments. If you got something more to offer please share.

Alright.

Instead of selling your tickets because you have given up on the season, I urge, nay, challenge all of you to go to the game and cheer louder than you ever have before. Support our seniors and all of those that will be stepping up next year to fill their place when they are gone. This game will be on ESPN meaning many people throughout the country will be watching this game. I say we all make our presence known to the country that bad coaching will not deter us from watching our Tigers win. Let's make Arkansas wish they never came to Tiger Stadium. Let's be loud, and strong. Go to the game and see the Tigers play in Tiger Stadium one last time. There is no championship for us. There is no game this week. As far as we are all concerned, there is no Sunday. Only Saturday. This is our championship and we all need to be there to help our Tigers to victory once again.
