Ya'll are the smartest, most forward thinking people in the entire fan base. It's a shame that y'all aren't on the Board of Supervisors or big dollar boosters at the TAF. Then we never would have lost Saturday.

ASU running a fake punt from our own 10 yard line.
That wasn't planned. That as ALL Chris Jackson and Ronnie Prude. The gunner had sold out to the fake - or appeared to. Prude was yelling that he'd beat Jackson up and steal his snack money if he didn't throw it.

This is the first I've heard of this. link?
No link as far as I am aware. I have the game on DVD and I can see him saying it on the sideline. If anybody has this game, you can clearly see it.

I've always supported him and thought he was a good coach...
Really the first time I had a question was the 2 pt attempt vs bama.
I didn't really question the call, just how it was made. They had a camera next to Les after the score and he held his one finger up abs yelled "one!"
then he must have heard something in his headset, because he quickly corrected himself and, holding now two fingers said, "oh we are going for two? We're going for two!"
it made me think that isn't right. Why is the head coach letting THAT decision be made up in the booth?
His first instnct was kick it, but it was like he wasn't part of the decision making process at all. He was the last to know then just relayed Crowtons decision to the field.
This was furthered Saturday when immediately after the game he answered the reporter "there was som delay in getting the timeout called in the box, then down to me, and finally to the official."
as the head coach you have to be in charge of these things and have first AND last say. Seems like our general is taking orders from his second, and doesn't have the backbone or confidence or something to over ride or even question... Or at least get his say in.
Kinda sheds some light on the "genius" auburn call where Byrd caught the td pass

Kentucky 07'. Stopped giving it to Scott in 2nd half
Doubted him from the very beginning becuase he is so poor in his communication skills, and NEVER talks any football substance, and because of his sideline demeanor and countenance..
However, the 2nd half of the UK game sealed the deal permanently for me, and everything since then has affirmed his ineptness

Started second half of 07 Kentucky.
Wanted Michigan to please take him after the 07 Arkansas game.
But then Pitt beat West Virginia and for 2 1/2 years it has been how his overall record is so good.
He will get another year, but it will all be on him. Not the QB, not the coordinator, but the Head Coach.

When I learned he was 500 lifetime in the Big 12. And at that time, the Big 12 was weak, imv.
But everyone said he was the best we could do, so...

Auburn '07. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Turned out well that night, but I knew it was just a matter of time before the stupid stuff caught up with us. Good coaches don't make those kind of stupid calls.
A good coach might take a chance on a 4th down or something similar. No good coach goes for the TD with no time left when a field goal would win the game. That's when I knew we would eventually regret Les Miles.

This first year when I saw all the penalties LSU committed and they got worse not better as the season wore on.
