Question: If LSU kicks the FG and wins...

does your opinion of Les Miles this morning change?
My opinion was cast the moment he was hired based on what he did with OSU. I have always thought he was not a Top 25 coach and would be successful as long as he was playing with house money. Well, now he is having to dig into his own pocket and we see the results.
Edited for the obvious oversight - the underlying point remains. Flame away at my gaffe, but at least have the nutts to state your opinion as others in this thread have.

if LSU kicks the field goal we win the fricking game in regulation.

They were only up two. FG wins it.

FG would have won it.
And no, a win wouldn't have changed my opinion that Les Miles is a moron and a mediocre coach at best.

If they kick a FG, there is no OT.

If we had won the game on Field Goal- he would have taken heat all week because we couldn't put Ole Miss away. Underlying current of discontent would remain.

Another dumb thread! This is getting ridiculous.

If LSU kicks the FG and wins in OT then my opinion of SEC refs might actually go south of where it is, which I thought was impossible. 2 point field goals would be the final straw for me.

You have made a very intelligent observation. About as smart as you thinking a FG ties it.

Instead of considering him a full-blown idiot I would just call him 'lucky'.

Yes, my opinion would be different.
No harm losing to the #1 and #2 teams in the country.
No harm giving up yards to a great RB, like McCluster. But his players played their guts out and they lost because the coaches were confused at the end.
This one hurts bad.

Boom, that explains it all. Still wanted to win. All he had to do was manage the clock. We would have dissed his game and team management over the week, still.

Is that you, coach?

I would have thought he was still just a lucky SOB. Not a good coach.

they should have taken a delay of game penalty to stop the clock, and then kick the field goal to put it into overtime. :dumbass:
