I can see the attraction to these movies for teenage girls but to watch these movies as a grown woman seems rather silly in my opinion.

I just read that it made over 72 million on Friday...that included the midnight showing, but, damn, that is strong. I wonder if the fan base grew after the first movie?

Wow.

That means it blew Dark Knight out of the water.

I now hope that the movie 2012 is prophetic. We don't deserve to live.

Already being made. My gf was telling me last night the next one comes out in June. She already knows when the New moon DVD comes out too. Thought I had met a gal with some sense...

How the frick did this movie make so much money when it has a very limited target audience?

It doesn't appeal to straight guys or older people. So really every fricking teenage girl and gay man in the U.S. must have went to seen this movie this weekend.

Actually, there will be 5 movies as they will split the fourth book into two.

I wonder where they will split it. Probably after she pops out the vamp baby.

The only thing I can see is that girls who went to the midnight release also came back the following day. Maybe multiple times.

A buddy's wife went to see it back to back showings yesterday - like at 1:30 and again at 3:30.

Just got back from seeing it with my wife. I will say this, it is better in every single possible way than the first one, except for un-intentional laughs. However the production values, special effects, acting, directing, you name it, were all 1000 times higher quality.
