how much memory do you actually want on one? What would be the significant differences of going higher or lower?

i just bought it. its 120GB and i got mine at Gamestop.
However they have it everywhere, like wal-mart, etc

the 250G is about $50 more, but i saw no point in having that much memory.
i have a friend with the 40G and he has movies, and saved music, etc and has not maxed it out. I would think 120G would be plenty enough.
some laptops aren't even 120G

So the only thing the memory is for is movies, music and to save your game, which i'm sure takes a very minimal amount?

also would you all suggest against getting one from ebay/amazon?

if your only interested in playing games and saving game data there is no need for the extra space. I had the 60 gig launch version and didn't come close to filling it up in over two years.

i looked on ebay, but didn't find anything of value better than $250. most of those were refurbished.
therefore i recommend to just pay 300 for a new

What different about the slim? other than it being smaller why is it cheaper? no blueray or something?
Posted on 11/19/09 at 3:25 pm to Rufio
no difference. it's replacing the fat model. but it does use a smaller power supply. save you money on electricity and puts off less heat.

get the cheapest one and just upgrade the HD yourself.

Its not memory! If they had 120 GB of MEMORY that system would cost a shite load of money.. Its Hard Drive SPACE.
