Or are the panthers a better team than everybody thinks? And Spagnolo a defenstive mastermind??
Why cant we put games like this away in the first half? Do not use injuries as an excuse.

Turnovers keeping them in the game

As an undefeated team, the Saints are going to get the best game from the shittiest of teams. They all want to be the one to knock off the big dog. I just think we are going to get everyone's best game from here on out.

No,
should never underestimate any NFL Team the Saints play, or let individual players perform like their job didn't depend on it.

I think some of it has to be that two of our last 4 games were against teams coming off bye weeks.

Rams had 2 weeks to prepare for and injury riddled defense, we still took care of business, a win is a win in the NFL, we are the hunted, teams will be ready to play when the get on the field with us

First half? These are professionals, they won't lay down and die right after kick off.Colston had a great oppotunity to put the game away and didn't protect the ball.

Although a ways away, I believe the Rams game emphasized how badly we could use the first round bye. I only expect more injuries before then.

injuries are without a doubt a valid excuse.

To answer the question, kind of. The Saints have always been a team that plays up to and down to their competition. Plus, it's easy to do this time of year.
The Rams played the Saints 2nd string D, as has been said here before. Plus, you know the Saints, in the back of most of their heads, were treating these two games before NE basically as glorified scrimmages. At least they were before yesterday. I guarantee TB sees a much more motivated team.
Also, the Rams are professionals too, no matter the record.

No, the other teams are playing up to their competition.

This. It's the same thing that happens when a bubble team plays against a team that pretty much has a playoff spot locked up. Your back is against the wall.
