we have a VERY good shot at making the bcs

first of course, we have to win out. Syle points would be a bonus.
we are already 8 in the bcs.
tcu, boise, cincinati, alabama, texas, florida and some others are ahead of us. if some teams lose ahead of us (which will probably happen) we move up if we keep winning. Alabama might very well lose to either state or auburn. Florida might lose to s carolina or florida state.
at the very least, one will lose in the championship game.
we have a higher stregth of schedule the both alabama and florida, not to mention just about everyone in front of us.
if we move up enough before the seccg, and either bama or florida lose, one of them might drop far enough for us to get a automatic bid and the loser go to the capital one bowl.
not to mention voters just might punish the loser a bit and reward us.
if either florida or bama lose one before the seccg, we would have a VERY good chance, provided we win out.
It's not over by a long shot.

I would normally say dream on but I have seen crazier (2007 season)
I guess we may have a small chance

I suppose it is a possibility, if the planets align...we will however, drop a spot or two after next week, due to playing a weak team...

Alabama or Florida would have to lose one in the regular season and then one would have to lose pretty badly in the SECCG for us to have a shot if we win out. Only way I see it happening. We got hosed when we lost to Georgia in the 2005 championship game to Georgia. Would I love to see Alabama get hosed? You bet I would, especially after the rape of the refs/SEC on Saturday.

It's possible. But Bama or Florida would definitely have to lose twice to drop below us. No way they would drop below us with one loss and having beaten us. I still believe though.

I wouldn't exactly say that, but I still have hope. After all, it is college football.

Winner is going to the BC, loser is going to the Sugar Bowl... 3 teams from same conference can't go.. That pretty much means we are screwed.

It's not likely as it was in '06.
Had we beaten Bama and they go to the SEC c'ship, we might have a much better shot. Its not the same when we beat Arkansas in '06 - they going to SEC c'ship and then missing BCS - we getting the nod as the hot team over them. Bama would have to lose to Auburn and then get blown out by UF. Then, we have a shot.

Man that's highly unlikely. And really, does it matter? What is wrong w/ the Cap One bowl? Although, I must say, the prospect of playing Iowa is sorta dull. Penn St or Oh St would be cool, though.

and Arkansas had 3 losses compared to our 2.

Would rather play in Cap One against OSU than in Sugar against a non bcs conference team.
Would really like to play USC, wherever!

They also had a high profile backfield and 2 losses going into the SEC c'ship. Arkansas is Arkansas. They aren't revered like some programs. They don't make the BCS unless they are a 1 loss team. 2 losses at best. Bama is not Arkansas.

If any conference can put 3 in BCS games its the SEC. And if there was a year for it to happen its this one. Assuming we finish with losses to only the #1 and #2 teams... We could def be in tostitos bowl (if that's the one that doesn't have a traditional conference tie in)

Only realistic scenario to get to the Sugar is a Fla loss this weekend to OBC in Columbia, then a UF loss to Bama in Atlanta...that might do the trick.

BCS limits conferences to 2 BCS eligible teams, so all 3 cannot go. That's why you keep seeing Iowa ( or penn st) and USC pop up in these bowl projections, but not LSU.

This is the only way. And the SECCG would need to be a blowout. I don't see that happening.

It took Auburn until the last seconds to score a TD against LSU. You think they are gonna do better versus Bama's defense?
