I have to admit I wanted to beat the Gators and Bama as bad as anyone wanted too. Coming into the season our expectations was to have a record of 10-2. We are still on course for a good season.

Jeez, that thread title makes us all look like pussies. Do you realize how much Bama bitches reading that are enjoying it?

Because last year alot of these same players lost to Bama, had their championship hopes dashed, and then mailed in the season with losses to Ole Miss and Arkansas, and should have lost to Troy if their coach wasn't a fricking idiot.

Let's hope this year's group of seniors can provide better leadership and keep this team from quitting.

we are the 3rd best team in the SEC. the 1st and 2nd are #1 and #2 in the nation. our losses to those 2 teams were close. we are still in the top 10. that usually breeds a good outlook on the season. but because our loses were close, its hurts more.

We fans and our players have graduated to a level where only a National Championship is acceptable. There's nothing wrong with not settling for mediocrity. This is not the 80's.

Not yet. Give Miles a few more years and it will feel like the 80's.

Maybe we should bring in the Zooker.

The big disappointment is that we cannot accomplish our first goal of being SEC western division champs. That is always goal #1 every year. We must now revise our top goals to playing in and winning a major bowl and finishing in the top 10.

No, but I do think there's probably something wrong with your definition of "mediocrity." 10-2 is not mediocre. Not even close.

Haven't been down once since last season FWIW, I happen to like this team a lot.

+1

Especially when our 2 losses are against two teams that have been top 5 all year.
