A lot of missed calls but they exist on both sides. They didn't call holding against either team. Even in the photo here (the apparent spearing), you can see LSu player #68 clearing holding the Bama player #25. Two major violations were ignored that aided LSU's first TD drive. For whatever reason, the officials just didn't hardly throw flags - on either team. The spot after running into the kicker was bad. But if it was a conspiracy, they would have falled roughing the kicker. I think running into the kicker was the correct call but I've seen roughing called for a lot less. You could fill a thread with LSU violations that went uncalled if you tried.

With all due respect, LSU was flagged 8 times and Alabama was flagged 4 times. LINK
LSU came into the game as the 16th LEAST penalized team in the country. Alabama came in at #48 in the country. LINK
There is a pattern here. Tennessee came into the Alabama game as the FOURTH LEAST penalized team in the country. A reasonable person can see that something is amiss.

amen to that, just go back and look at lsus last TD and watch the lsu lineman tackle one of Bamas lineman. lsu held all night but wasn't called for it. you guys are probably right, if it had happened to Bama I probably would have bitched but just like in this case it wouldn't change a thing.

I'd bet in most, if not all, legal blocks you can freeze frame it so that it looks like a hold.

I agree that our OT was holding #25 on the spearing of our QB. Should have been offsetting penalties. Another expample of poor officiating in this game. Once they would have called our guy for holding, then they should have been more likely to call the rest of the holding on Alabama.
