Congratulations LSU Coaches and Players

It was a classic game - an epic battle - for all the marbles.

With a few breaks going our way (that could have EASILY gone either way), you guys would have won, and LSU would have grabbed one more amazing shot at another BCS title.

You Tigers left it all on the field, and you played well enough to beat that great undefeated Bama team in their house.

It breaks my heart that so many LSU players were hurt and that so many key calls went against us, to help Bama escape with this win.

But I am so very proud of this team's gutsy effort. You have improved so much since the season started. Despite your remaining opportunities to get even better, you guys showed last night that you are already championship-caliber, capable of beating the very best teams in the country.

Nick Saban and his players know they played an awesome team that is every bit their equal. And they know how very fortunate they were to get this win.

If the Peterson interception call goes our way, the mo at the end shifts big time, that stadium goes silent, and I have no doubt that you guys are the ones today still playing for the BCS crown.

It didn't happen, the ref's call was beyond your control. It could have gone either way. Alabama was very, very fortunate.

But your effort was heroic. Despite a ridiculous number of game injuries, you guys played well enough to beat this team and scare the hell out of both Florida and Texas.

Hold your heads high. Realize how much progress you have made, and know that you are now capable of beating anybody anywhere.

Keep showing this focus and effort. Go win those next three games, and then beat a top-ten opponent in a great bowl matchup. Finish the season strong, keep getting better, and you will finish as a top-5 team again for 2009.

Then next year, you'll get your redemption, by beating the shite out of Florida and Bama.

You finished on the short end last night, but you played well enough to bring home the victory.
