Was very good. My only problem was it was already knowing each scene. I've seen the 1984 George C. Scott version about 10 times or so. Overall it was very well done.

my wife really wants to see it so we'll probably go next week. I'm a big fan of the older ones though and I'm afraid I'll be disappointed.

A friend of mine said it was too scary for her kids. They are all younger than 8 or 9.

My 7 year old lifted his 3D glasses twice, but other than that it wasn't that bad.

I saw it on Friday and it was ok. B- for me.

The whole 3-D thing is not worth the extra dollars. The only thing that had a real 3-D look is the snow that looked like it was falling right in front of my glasses.

The only thing that would have made this movie perfect, would have been for it to be live action and not animated. It was a great movie, not so "disney-ish." Young kids would be scared. Ages 8+ should enjoy it, though. Jim Carrey was great in it.

Saw it with my 9 year old daughter. We both liked it though it was a bit intense for her at times. I really thought it stayed true to Dickens' story and Jim Carrey did a fantastic job.

So was it the more subdued version of Jim Carrey, or the way too over the top overacting Grinch-like version Jim Carrey?

I give it an A-. The only reason I don't give it an A is for the fact that it wasn't live action. We did not see the 3D version. We opted for the 2D, regular version because I get sick and tired of watching these 3D films in the theater and going home with a headache.

Jim was damn good. He was subdued and not over the top. The story line, and especially the dialogue stayed almost on par with the novella. I am so happy that Disney didn't try to change this into a Disney original or adaptation. They even began it by opening the Dickens' book and ended it the same way--VERY CLASSY.

I wouldn't say it was TOO scary for the kids, as long as they are 8 and up and not little punkolas. My daughter is 10 and was completely fine.

I recommend all Christmas Carol fans go see this film. It is worth it.

More subdued. Nothing like the Grinch. He played the part of Scrooge wonderfully. But it being Jim Carrey made it that much better.
