against Bama. We had a lot of people picking us against UF and we saw what happened. I think the fact pretty much everyone thinks Bama will win will work to our advantage.

Yeah, it always has seemed that we play our best when either our backs are against the wall or when everyone doubts us and no one gives a chance. It seems as if both of these apply to this weeks game, so we will see.

Tomorrow's only Friday.

Then once Friday gets here we still have ANOTHER day to wait. THIS IS KILLING ME.

ya thats why we lost to uf b/c ppl picked us to win, thats what was goin through the players' minds when they were playing...bama bein picked to win might not be a disadvantage but it sure as hell is not an advantage, that shite is irrelevant

I didn't say it would make a difference, but it could give our players a little extra motivation, and not get overhyped.

Look at last years game against Bama. No one gave us a shot, and we took it OT.

This is from someone who is impartial: I do feel Bama has an advantage in several areas..a look at the SEC website and the stats up to now will show you why. LSUs offense will struggle I think. Unless Shepard is ready to take over...it will be hard to beat them.
The record of home team losing is skewed also, in 2003 Bama won only 4 games, 2005 LSU won the SEC...better team, in 2007 ditto.
But anything can and sometimes happen in college football. Shepard is your savior.

In 2007 they lost to Kentucky and Arkansas. Two teams they were supposed to beat.

Last year they were underdogs to Florida and Georgia (backs against the wall)....and got skull fricked.

Are you just making this shite up? Please name the games LSU has won that they should not have lately.

Apparently, you missed the whole Georgia Tech game last year. We were supposed to get our doors blown off.

I was referring to games that matter. Can't believe you are hanging your hat on that one.

So a bowl win doesn't matter? Ask Bob Stoops how much it matters.

Actually, I'd rather be higher ranked and favored to win.....but hey, that's just me.

I agree. I like being top dog.

Don't understand this mentality of wanting to fly under the radar.

Bottom line on this game. Both LSU and Bama's offenses border on being inept. Both defenses are good. Whoever manages to score a few points will win. Same goes for UF. The only TD they had against LSU was a busted play. Sure LSU would have still lost 9 to 3 but that is my point.

Bama's offense was pretty strong earlier in the year, albeit against less competition. Our offense struggled against everyone.

Bama's defense is better.

The question is how can we score a few points. A defensive or special teams TD would help. I don't know if we can run against them, meaning JJ has to do it. A tall order for him.

Our defense is comparable to Bama's though I would say theirs is better. Throw out the first two games for both teams and LSU and Alabama's offensive numbers are pretty even.

Should be a good game that probably gets decided by Arenas and Holliday.
