The parallel's are simple. Neither Pryor or Jefferson is a good passer. That's not their game. Hence the title DUAL Threat QB.
This is also why you do not see DUAL Threat QB's starting in the pros!

Seems that neither is a true DUAL threat.
More like a running threat and a mild nuisance.

Jefferson was considered a PP

Jordan Jefferson averages less than 2 yards a carry. He can't run the option worth crap.
He's not a running quarterback, he's mobile. It's not the same thing.

Ran the spread in HS.

the only place he's not mobile is when hes supposed to step up into the pocket

Then he's in trouble because he's not a passing qb either. Very inaccurate, limited arm strength, way too much wind up, and no pocket presence. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt on running.

pryor and jefferson - arrested development!
both could use true quarterback coaches... solid upside
based on what we see on gameday from jefferson's option, you have got to wonder what crowton sees during the training week

I'm finding it very hard to see the lighter side of Jefferson. His mechanics are horrible, he has no pocket presence, he's incredibly inaccurate, he can't throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield. He's absolutely horrible at running the option.
A QB with two future 1st rounders - though LaFell might slip given the QB issues this year - and an All-SEC TE should not be putting up such horrible passing yards.
It really makes me wonder why the coaches bailed on Lee.

By star rating yes. But...there are 3 sophomores starting on the offensive line for Ohio State. When they're juniors and seniors their experience should pay off in a big way.
Herbie sounded like a very frustrated former Buckeye player right there and not like a commentator at all. He got the chance to speak his mind and he did. I can't say that I disagree with most of what he said.

he is usually very good at being non-partisan
I half-expected him to peel off his face and reveal lou holtz.

Really makes me wonder too. Seems like Lee should have been given a series or two long before now. For whatever reason, the coaches decided on Jefferson coming into the season and they don't seem to want any hint of a QB controversy.

JJ is a pocket passer
he just happens to be fast. he's not mobile or a good runner. LSU is trying to make him into one

No, it isn't. Not to re-open up the "what is the spread?" can of worms, but the spread is neither a run or a pass offense. It can be either. It's about creating gaps. How you exploit those gaps is your own business, but the spread can go either way.

no, the spread is a fricking passing offense, and that is what JJ ran in high school
