I made it a point to watch the other college quarterbacks on todays college replays. I noticed the the majority of them dropped back much quicker that JJ. The all seem to get the ball of in a shorter peroid of time. When they would feel the pressure from the pass rush they would step into the pocket. I realize that our line play has been less than desirable but compared to other quarterbacks JJ seems to take longer to throw the ball. Many of them appeared to be able to find the second and even third receiver if their #1 wasn't available. Is the problem JJ or is it coaching? Is this kid getting the coaching he needs to compete or is he better suited for another position. He has a very strong arm but lacks many of the other mechanics displayed by other good college quarterbacks.

Well, you saw some pretty mediocre QB play, didn't you? Saturday's games impressed me so well that I wore LSU gear all day long today.

Maybe you could fix the Qb situations at Fla and Ala. and Ole Miss. Is it me or have most of the high profile QB's been disappointing this year. Snead has looked horrible. Tebow probably will never play QB at the next level. Arkansas may have the best QB in the league this year.

JJ drops back quicker....but farther than everyone else....Thats coaching. With dropping back more, it seems like he is holding it more. There is no pocket when a QB drops back that much. His trowing motion is 50% faster than Tebow, but he doesnt gett pressure and get sacked as much. Also see Clausen with sacks. he doesnt have time to see the third option. Next time before you make this post, consult with a QB coach instead of a hell if I know coach who only coaches high school football because you are an assistant at another sport and must do it because you are a male.
