when we run it, it is usually for negative yardage.

Well we should run it better but it would be crazy to expect it at GT's level seeing as how that's all they work on with a coach who is an expert at it.

I think all GT does is the option.

LSU seems to be using it mostly to spread things out for the dive plays IMHO.

I don't think I'd change places with GT.

Is that what the option suppose to look like? I had forgotten after watching us run it.

Um an option QB is a good place to start but are you serious about this question? The option would be crushed in the SEC.

RP ran it pretty well. automatic TD with him near the goal line.

nonsense...if Paul Johnson coached in the SEC his team would lead the league in rushing 100% guaranteed

whether he'd have a championship team is another matter...but fools like you also said Meyer's offense wouldn't work in the SEC, and if the 'wildcat' had been developed in another league you'd claim it wouldn't work too

Option QB..... It is what GT recruits..... LSU doesn't.....
Plus like in the above response, that shite doesn't work in the SEC. see LSU/GT 2008.... defenses are too fast in this league, see LSU and every SEC team they have played this year...
JJ is no option QB, he is definately an athlete just not that kind of athlete....

That's an exaggeration. Last yr, GA Tech crushed putrid MS St., made huge comeback to beat respectable UGA & had their teeth kicked in by LSU. 2-1 was not crushing.

Our QB has no experience doing that.
It shows.

would you rather be in Ga Tech's position with two losses now?

We insist on running it to the short side of the field against quick defensive teams. Jefferson pitches to the back when the defenders are converging on the runner - tough to make yards when you are losing five yards when you start the play.

or why can't we pass the ball like (insert team here), or run out of the I formation like (insert team here), or run the spread like (insert team here)....we attempt to run almost every offense there is. at some point you have decide what you want to do and recruit the players to run it.

I had no dog in that hunt, yet Tech's option was making me nervous...LSU can't afford turnovers.

3 plays and a 30 yard punt ain't much better.
