he's a horrible owner,, he was just lucky that the Astros had Biggio and Bagwell on the team,,but think about all the talent they let get away,, had the just spent the money and kept,, Loften, Schilling,Caminiti,Gonzales,,ect,,they would have won 3-4 World series

Yeah I just found that story. Cheo is a legend in Houston. Hes been standing on the 1st base line for 13 seasons and has played for the Astros from 75-87. Drayton is turning the organization into a circus and a joke. I wouldn't be surprised if the team runs a similar course as the Pirates. I highly doubt theres a winning season anytime soon.
How about firing Cheo and bringing back Garner to manage. What a joke.

Damn that blows, I was always a fan of Cheo.

Yea he always seemed like a class act, and he knows his shite too. What would you have though about him becoming manager?
Posted on 10/13/09 at 11:22 pm to TigerFan91
dunno,, all that time on staff he never moved past first base coach which is almost nothing more than a figurehead position
however compared to the rest of the potential manager list hes not an unreasonable choice

this is bullshite drayton. i'd like to know if there was an explanation

I can't remember an Astros game without this guy on the 1st baseline. In 4 years we went from the World Series to the basement, it's really sad.

Yea good point. I just want someone younger, Brad Ausmus damnit I don't care if he is inexperienced the organization needs to start all the way over

Tim Bogar
why? i liked it when i first heard his name but come on. i was thinking manny acta but i don't think it's going to happen. i think there are better people out there that aren't being considered but go figure. just think when they went with the unconventional pick with larry dierker. 4 out of 5 years of winning ball? i think it's either Garner or the Phillies guy.
Posted on 10/13/09 at 11:32 pm to OWLFAN86
Yea he would be pretty good too
Posted on 10/13/09 at 11:35 pm to List Eater
'cause right now they need to take a chance
Tim, is that chance
