I am by no means a football genius but this is how I see it.....

The no huddle needs to go. At least for now.

The option needs to go. For now.

Shepard needs to play. NOW!

Simpify the freaking playbook for God's sake!

The offensive line needs to get a little more solid (particularly C. Black. I like the guy but he can't do it alone.)

Jefferson needs to tell himself just because "this is the call" that he's not married to that call. If it doesn't work, improvise. I know he can do it. And I agree, JL should be in there on a few series as well.

Last but not least, Miles needs to ADMIT there is something wrong with the offense. Seriously. Don't just say it like he did in the post game interview this past Saturday. This guy is paid a TON of money to coach this team, DO IT! Quit worrying about hurting someones feelings on the team. They will get over it, I promise!

I'm not giving up, like I ever would, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to see MAJOR improvements on offense when we play Auburn.

They still need to find it from before the Florida game

the thing is with the no huddle your talking about there is a huddle. It would run smoothly if it was no huddle and Jefferson would have some time on the play clock to look at the defense and have a snap count

personally i want to see more rollouts and play actions so jefferson has easier decisions to make on who to throw to. The o-line can't protect well enough when hes in the pocket and he can't go through his progressions fast enough

that Meerkat look-to-the-sideline that we and a bunch of teams are doing is no huddle... one point is to get up to the LOS w/o huddling so the D can't make subs (or else you can just quick-snap it). Go read up on the concept of "no-huddle"

Thats what I wanted to say was the whole huddling before doing the look to the sideline stuff has got to go. It burns up way to much play clock and there is no chance for a snap count or anything. It seems like on every play they are hurrying to get the snap off. Im sry if i got the whole no huddle after a huddle concept wrong

You really think Miles is happy with our O? Did you think he was happy with our D last season? What happened then? He axed the entire defensive staff.

There is no huddle, the players line up at the line to keep the other team from doing subs, etc. Then they look over to the sideline for the play call while the OC is looking at what the D is giving us and calling the best play to take advantage of it... and yeah, he takes his time and I don't blame him. Screw that D!

True. But it was after the season was over.

We don't have that kinda time. We need to fix whatever is wrong with the O-line and fast.

But, in regards to your statement, the defense has come alive in a big way which is awesome!

Unfortunately, you can't axe an entire staff and just recruit them on the fly. It doesn't work like that, you have to just stick with it and ride it out and wait for next spring game.

I believe the offense can be fixed. It needs to be simplified instead of trying to run new players every play and then huddling then look over to sideline to see what play to run. When all that is over there is like 6 seconds on the play clock. When they are finally set up they never look comfortable before the play. Also that eliminates any chance of a snap count

Did you not hear Coach Miles last year with JL and the defense. No changes will be made till the end of the season. He keeps saying things will be done and never does it. If it is another 3-5 season in the SEC, Crowton needs to go at a minimum and Coach Miles need to go at a maximum. I like the guy, but no reason to destroy the program like Dinardo did.

Dude, are you serious? If they drop the option, they have cut the play-calling options by 20%!

Actually we had a perfect chance of doing this late in the 4th against UF when it was 4th and 1. We were lined up and JJ was looking off to the sideline waiting on a play to be called in, Instead of looking at UF running players on and off the field. In fact he actually got the call and was taking his time to snap the ball and Florida had a few people still making their way off the field. Had he snapped the ball right away UF would have been caught with at least two guys close to the sideline coming off the field and would have got the first down. Instead he waits then gets sacked for a loss turning the ball over.

Yeah, after the season was over. When it was too late. How about doing someting NOW while our season is still salvageable?
