Who's opinion has changed? Who went from loving Miles and thinking he was a damn good coach to not liking Miles so much and thinking he's just a mediocre coach?

He isnt the greatest coach but he is a great recruiter and made some good defensive hires. And hell Crowton was great for a while too. He can still do well if he hires a QB coach and/or a new OC. We'll see.

1) didn't like the hire
2) wish he would've went to michigan before backing into the bcs championship.
3) sure haven't like what i've seen the last 2 years.

hope he turns things around, but i have no reason to think he will this season or next.

Said it earlier....

I want the Mad Hatter back..not this version.

The Hatter was hungry. This Miles does not resemble the one I remember

So I am assuming you are writing off Crowton. What if it's Les calling the plays? What then? What about a new OL coach? What about a new DL coach?

I like Miles as a person and think he's a decent coach. But he doesn't bring anything special to either side of the ball like some of the elite coaches do. Meyer brings his offense, Saban brings his defense, etc.

I personally think the program is heading downhill under his watch, but I believe he could also repair the damage before LSU needs to start over.

and this. If you've objectively watched the past 2 yrs, there is no reason to be optimistic.
The trend is scary.

Miles said it himself when describing the 2007 season... if he feels that he has the talent and has the level of gameplay necessary to make big, risky plays, then he throws his confidence behind the players and makes the crazy calls.

I think he simply doesnt have that confidence right now with Jefferson at the helm, so he isn't sticking the team's neck out too far right now. Miles may not be making such terrible calls as everyone thinks...

I thought Crowton did call the plays. If it's Miles, then sure that affects my opinion of him as a coach.

That would be nice, but I'm not sure what any OL coach could do with undersized linemen playing in a confused offense.

This guy is new and seems highly credentialed...I'm willing to cut him a little more slack.

Mediocre coach, in way over his head...seems completely lost on the sidelines; inability to make in-game adjustments. Not much else to say.

I don't think he's a bad coach but I don't care for his style of coaching. We have had a great run with him. I rathered the "in your face" style of football coaching. If you meet Miles, you'll say he's one great guy. If you meet another guy who resembles the other style, ie Saban, you won't say the same thing. Miles is doing good for us and time will tell. You can't run him out of town just yet, can you?????

For the first time in 5 years, I am disappointed in his style. I think he cannot or will adjust. JJ is not a pocket passer, he needs to be rolling to his right, or moving. We cannot run between the tackles, we need to learn the option with the right people (RS or TH), we need short passes to our WR's over the middle, more screen's. Good coache's adjust. He seem's not able or does not want to change.

And I thought I had seen lunacy on this board before.
You, sir, are no Tiger fan if you really would rather have seen Miles leave than win only the third NC in LSU history.
I'm sure that night LSU beat OS, you were sitting there thinking" Damn, we won, but I wish Miles had gone to michigan." You are a liar and you know it. Off the bandwagon again, huh?

Miles is not worth 3m/year...not by a long shot...he is a good guy and a great recruiter but he does not strike me as very intelligent....he and his team make stupid mistakes over and over and over....
