I think the defense kept us in the game last night. The chief done a wonderful job in keeping a high scoring offense at bay. Thoughts and comments?

Meyer played it close to the vest with an injured tebow. he knew we couldn't do crap on offense.

If we could have just had a couple of decent drives...just a couple...one a half..and punch them in for TDs...LSU wins the game. Simple as that.

They avg 300 yards per game rushing...it's not like they are some high flying offense throwing the ball all over the field and we just got lucky that they gave it to those horrible running backs. There O-line avgs 330 and is one of the best in the country. Ya..Tebow usually runs it a little more...but he didnt do very good when he ran it last nite. LSU was playing to keep everything inside...with our DEs playing containment. It was a very good gameplan.

I watched Florida alot this year and to me that was one of the most conservative play calling jobs by Meyer. even some of the Florida fans afterward that were at our tailgate spot said the same. I see your point bengal but we did give some decent runs by florida especially in the middle.

With those RBs...Demps, Rainey, and Moody...small, fast, shifty backs....you're gonna give up some 20 yarders. Bama is gonna give up some 20 yarders to them...its as simple as that. You have to keep them from getting the 60-70 yarders...that's the key.

So with some of those long runs, LSU still held them to a 4 ypc game...which means they were shutting them down alot.

I will admit the offense was more conservative...but any time one of those backs gets the ball...you have to play some great D to stop them...period.

conservative because we are not charleston southern. I do understand what your saying though. Next week we will see if the chief can keep up the good work. Auburns o has been pretty good this year so far,but i believe the d will be ready for them

When UF tried to get flashy ( to the outside, WRs going deep - other than Cooper's dirty playing arse ), LSU shut them down; that's why UF stuck with runs up the middle and passes to the TE.

Well I think far too many people are throwing out the word "Great", but that should be good.
The D played Good. But, our front 4 is still weak.
Now compared to the offense, the D was exceptional.

You sure you want to go out on a limb like that?

Havent you heard?...UF only punted once...if it werent for that, our offense would have been rolling.

Without question, our defense played a great game last night and kept us in the game. They gave the offense every opportunity to win the game. The offense owes the defense an apology.

Almost boggles the mind to think of the outcome had the defense eliminated a few key penalties and an offensive hold/pass interference is called.

Kinda makes you feel sorry for the chief. Didnt he have the same problem at ut with their offense not pulling their share of the load?
