I think the only reason the Times Pic published this was to shake the cage even more. Works for me.

Anyone bringing up Hallman era losses, or even the name "curley" fires me up. Loser ruined football for my time at LSU!

But Meyer said he has also seen a tepid Tiger Stadium. "It's when those guys wearing the jerseys are really good that it gets loud," he said. "I remember coming there with Colorado State and we beat them and their team wasn't very good. It was pretty quiet that day." The day Meyer refered to was 26 Sept. 1992, the second year of the Curley Hallman era. On that day, an unranked LSU team was beaten by Colorado State 17-14 before 69,654. The Tigers would go on to finish 2-9 that season, 1-7 in the SEC.

Well no shite it was quiet. It was a loss against a shitty team during the lowest point of LSU football EVER. Not a whole lot to cheer that day.

Well, he's pretty much correct. Same can be said for just about any stadium when the home team sucks. Do you have any more profound revelations for us, Urban?

Was at both games he was referring to. All I can remember from 92 were the girls next to me and thinking "the gd csu rams....really...the csu rams?" In 07, I couldn't even hear myself think.
Meyer has a point, but still, he knows that this is going to be the loudest environment his team will have played in. Why stoke the flames even higher?

That Urban is a real scholar. I'm sure Florida Field was rockin' in '79 when Florida was 0-10-1.

The mighty CSU Rams (5-7) trounced the hapless Tigers 17-14 thanks to the brilliant wide receivers coaching of Urban Meyer. The crowd was overwhelmed by his mere presence.

Meyer has to search back nearly 2 decades to a time when he walked into Tiger Stadium and won. Of course, like a douche bag, he woud have a comment like that...

Jesus, he wants to go back to Curley era, well go ahead, knock yourself out there Urby. Most teams came in here and did pretty well for those years! But how have you fared here, Urby? Also, I'm sure yall's fans were rockin the house just a short 7 years ago when we destroyed Ufag in the swamp, so whatever! LSU will be plenty good and plenty loud Saturday nite buddy, and yall will not escape with a win, giving you youre 3rd loss in a row here Urby pal!
