I remember reading he was a **** Tiger on scout.com when he was coming out of an Indiana reserve for rescued exotic pets.
Perhaps he was never SEC mascot material - and for that I guees you could blame the veterinary staff that recruited him. I believe that he has yet to reach his full potential and has not found a scheme which best suits his talents.
But the truth is he is in his 3rd year, it's put up or shut up time.

As for getting him into the cage, just cut back on his food 50% the day before the game. It's not like that would be cruel - it would just give him a little extra motivation to follow the bloody meat into his mobile cage.
You guys are strange - you act like we'd literally have to "STARVE" him to get him to respond to a special treat.
I think what most people don't understand is that you'd have to starve him for days for it to even matter to him. And that still wouldn't guarantee him getting in the cage. Cats are very strange creatures. An ordinary house cat is stubborn as frick just to get it in a kennel to take to the vet. I'd imagine getting an 800lb tiger into a cage is just like that just with MUCH GREATER consequences.

Maybe you're right. I've always been a dog guy so I honestly didn't know this about cats.

Fast him for a couple of days and then put some of that tailgate food in that cage, that should get him? Display Mike
There are an ever-increasing number of clues that PETA is, in fact, an elaborate hoax perpetrated by some very clever pranksters. Mike is our live Mascot, get over it?

Dognap UGA and throw his little arse into the cage. Problem solved.

How scary would an 800lb tiger with blood all over himself and dripping down the sides of the cage be?
Posted on 10/8/09 at 10:34 am to Tigerdew
If I knew the victim was UGA, not at all. In fact, I'd be likely to have a good chuckle or two.

Just dart his f*cking arse and throw him in the damn cage. He may be a f*cking tiger, but tranqs should still do the trick.
I still think we need to make a Swiss Family Robinson style booby trap on the Florida sideline. That would be awesome. Just don't let any logs fall in it, so the f*cking tiger doesn't come out and eat us.

Mike's people need to throw pepper in his cage.
Tigers love pepper. They hate cinnamon.

What do Mike the Tiger and Ryan Perrilloux have in common?
1)They both couldn't handle Death Valley.
2)They both have spent time behind bars!

He was at the ULL game. I walked right by his cage on my way to my seats.

If the field is wet, they won't pull the cage on it.

Just put him on a big chain and have Cesar Milan give him a few "psssttt" until the UF team comes out the tunnel. Then just let him loose.

the need to upgrade his trailer to a articulating tandem or triple axle trailer with duals so the load is distributed evenly and it will not leave ruts.
