Ok this is pissing me off so damn bad all these people saying that the penalty for celebration caused Georgia the game!!! Ok yeah it was a stupid arse call as was the one they called on LSU, but Georgia had just as much time to score after the celebration call on LSU. Its just crazy how much the media hates LSU!!! frick Georgia

actually, 15 yds w/ 1:09 was not insignificant--no matter how fast we scored. it was a lucky break. Of course Ga was lucky it even mattered.

It absolutely affected the game
If anything it hurt CS stats because he only got a 33 yard TD run instead of a 48 yard TD run

how long did it take us to score from the start of there kick off after the celebration penatly? and how much time did Georgia have left when we kicked off to them?

Not to mention we scored the winning drive in 23 seconds. UGA had 46 seconds to score and got the exact same penalty yardage. Not our fault their kick returner got stuffed and they dont have a charles scott and had only 1 timeout left

took us 23 seconds to travel a field 5 yards shorter than the field they had to travel in 49 seconds.

i understand what happened after the penalty. what i'm saying is that getting 15 yds is a break, and b/c i think the penalty was bogus is was a lucky break.
to assume things would happen the same w/o the penalty is as dangerous as to assume we would not have won anyway. it's an assumption.
fact is, we outplayed them but we got a break. nothing wrong w/ that. happens every game.

The bad call didn't crush their will. Scott's final TD did. They couldn't get a decent snap off after that TD. They even got the same "celebration 15" to boost their spirits.

That's because it did cost them the game, Einstein. Even UGA bashers Holtz and May BOTH agreed on this. The SEC has come out TODAY addressing the horrible call, for now a SECOND time, and now admits it never should have been called.

i dont get it. are we arguing in the pursuit of agreement or is everyone just restating the same two sides of the argument in order to achieve some sort of thread record?
