I'm not usually one to come on here and bash other programs just for the hell of it or because they are not LSU.

I must say, I was not impressed with Sanford Stadium AT ALL.

1.) The fans were as loud as the 4th quarter of a typical LSU/ULL or La. Tech. They finally ratcheted up the enthusiasm late in the 4th, but too little too late.

2.) There were several thousand empty seats at kickoff in both endzones. (I couldn't see the upper deck, as I as under it). These seats did not come close to filling up until the 2nd quarter started.

3.) Does Georgia have a band? It seemed like that was the case as they hardly played during the game.

4.) Georgia is LYING when they say 92,000+ is their capacity.

5.) Overall, I was less than impressed with the stadium and th UGA fanbase.

6.) The UGA fans I came into contact with were all very nice (except for that bitchy little count who sat next to us in sec. 304, row 15). She was just a nasty little whore with a big mouth, but... ).

7.) The Bataan Death March up Baxter St. after the game was BRUTAL. No wonder UGA has such good looking women. All that hill walking gives them firm tight asses and legs.

1. The stadium has a beautiful exterior and is surrounded by a beautiful campus.
2. The stadium design looks retarded.
3. One scoreboard? The damn thing barely showed any of the big replays.
4. There was seriously one concession stand in the upper deck. People were going crazy considering the wait was 40 minutes at half.
5. The TVs by the concessions weren't plugged in, which is a travesty considering people were waiting for concessions for so long.
6. UGA fans are not loud.
7. The stadium was MAYBE 70% full prior to kickoff and never fully filled up.
8. UGA fans were very classy before, during, and after the game in and around the stadium.

Athens has always been the place I most wanted to visit in the SEC, and while the town and campus were awesome, Sanford was weak.

I had a blast at uga. Athens was cool and most all the fans were great. One terribly gay thing was my bf getting an open container ticket near the stadium . Freaking ridiculous . Lots of the Georgia men kept commenting on how pretty lsu girls were. They said uga girls, lsu girls, and ole miss girls were the hottest in the sec. I'd agree with that.. Lots of good lookers at uga. And to five guys burgers!!!

Were there a lot of tickets available outside of the stadium?

Athens itself and the Campus are awesome. One of the best college towns I've been to. Would have loved to spend more time there.

The stadium and game atmosphere inside were very sub-par and disappointing.

A Five Guy's is scheduled to open in Perkin's Rowe soon. I'm not a big fan of their fries. . .but their burgers are great.

GREAT campus and tailgating altogether... great atmosphere afterwards as well (except for the whole truck getting towed thing) and BEAUTIFUL, FUN, WOMEN EVERYWHERE!!
before the game there were not as many tickets available as I thought there would be. my buddy actually bought 2 tickets, found his seat which happened to be next to Windell the Miller high life guy, only to find other people from Miller in his seats... He had bought fake tickets.
The coolest part about Sanford was you could drive through it. There is a road on campus that pretty much goes through the end zone. That was really cool

The empty spots were the other student sections...as they are first come first serve those spots fill in last.....greeks normally don't get to the game until half way through the first quarter.

The stadium is jekyl and hyde...I agree yesterday was weak minus the 4th quarter. (Wasn't much to cheer about up until that point). It can rock with the best of them certain times....LSU 04 is a good example and I am sure your fans there that day can testify to that...

UGA has a wealthy alumni base on the South side that really doesn't do much in the cheering dept.

no!!!!!!!!! The person we were supposed to get our tix from didn't show!!! We were tryin to buy tix outside the stadium but the crackheads wanted 100 a ticket!!!! Not a chance. So I shed a few tears underneath my sunglasses since I never miss lsu games and I went all that way to watch it at a bar. Still had fun but it was upsetting.

Didn't a UGA fan come on here well in advance to warn us about that? Shows you're not on the Rant enough 'cause you weren't in the know.

Did y'all wait until the middle of the 1st quarter? Usually they give in and go face value or less by then.

I had a great time, though the georgia fans were great overall, their fans only got loud when they scored, but oh well, i'm okay with that

What was the deal with the guy on the microphone leading the cheers and barking. Piped in music has to be considered soo much better than something like that.

I wasn't there yesterday, but I have been to a game there and was extremely disappointed (I had really high hopes). UGA tailgating seems to typically consist of a few folks under a tent with some food brought in from a grocery store deli drinking iced tea with no music.

Extremely lame...

I agree, I wasn't impressed with UGA either...The campus is a great example of urban sprawl..You don't realize how nice LSU's campus is until you visit other schools..

Most of the UGA girls are smoking hot, but they do have a few closet bitches..
