Why not compare them to our current QB?

That guys stats didn't help his team last year.
They were preseason #1 last year and didn't live up to hype!

It's completely relevant to the the development of a qb. The Stafford situation proves the case for experience.
it proves that it CAN happen. it doesn't mean it likely or will happen.

it's like the people who point to how stars don't matter in recruiting because hester was a 2 star

I guess it really is that simple.
it really is. lsu has played like crap for the majority of the season due to MANY different reasons. can't put the blame on one single thing, but it's no secret that we aren't looking as good as many other teams

Their defense was terrible and they led the country in injuries

I know he threw a lot of interceptions last season, but the dude is a gun slinger.

I don't know how much a gun slinger is worth when he's that prone to friendly fire.

Why don't we just go with J Lee. He has a fast release like Dan Marino and a lot of QB's are really terrible and have no feel for the game, it doesn't make them a bad QB. Dude was a freshman and all freshman are terrible QB's also. Just because you lead the country in interceptions doesn't mean you are not a great QB.

we also attempted a power pass screen vs. MSU around their 10 yard line. It was WIDE open but we sailed it right over the head of the back.

Jefferson is struggling with accuracy a little at times and maybe with getting us into the right play at the line but he is by no means the only (or even the biggest) issue we have on offense. Let's try to remember that he is a TRUE sophomore that had a rumored dubious work ethic last year. He will continue to improve. Flynn, in his first year of starting, didn't really come into his own until the middle part of the season. Give the kid time.

I just like JJ's decision making most of the time. Keeping the turnovers down and making plays with his feet as well as being accurate close range is good for me.

Xencuts I agree totally. his protection of the ball to me indicates that while he doesn't necessarily have everything down yet, he does have a the demeanor (coolheadedness) to be a very good QB in the future.

we should run several screens until the defense slows down the pass rush/blitzes. There are other ways to get the box empty and take pressure of the QB besides deep balls

its time to get creative on offense, run plays that help a young QB. Florida does a good job of this with Tebow, and he isn't even a young QB

I think JLEE will get his chances this Saturday to prove or disprove these theories. I have a feeling we will see him more this weekend than we have

hearing JLEE theories hurts... deep down it hurts. i don't understand how td posters can give up on Miles after he won a NC but never give up on pick 6 city.
