I've been reading some of the Georgia boards, and unless I'm reading the wrong ones, the Dawg fans DON'T have an overwhelming amount of confidence UGA can beat LSU. Their biggest concern is that turnovers will kill Georgia against a quality opponent. What say ya'll?

Well, they really shouldnt. LSU has the potential to assrape just about any team on any given Saturday, and UGA is not championship caliber.

Maybe not championship caliber but that team DOES have talent.

It's easier to correct fumbling than to get your OL stronger and work better in a week.

You're reading it exactly right. We fear for our collective lives (not literally) each game we play. We have little confidence in our defense, although it played better last week against Arizona State (which itself has little offense). And we fear our offense, while talented and can move the football, will turn it over in a crucial situation, which we've done EVERY game, and which we've usually done deep in our territory. With LSU's propensity for opportunistic defense, it could bode not well for us.

This is true. The guy I am going to the game with, who is a UGA season ticker holder, wanted to call a truce to keep me from heckling him when they lose. I agreed in the off chance the Tigers can't pull out the win. Also, I work with a lot of Bulldog fans, and they aren't convinced that UGA can win. Georgia has a lot of problems on defense.

Well then....something's gotta give. I wouldn't be that surprised if LSU wins by 17...Any of you guys remember Georgia Tech last year? I think we're close. PLAY SHEPARD IN THE SECOND HALF FOR GOD'S SAKE. He was our leading rusher against the Staters. He didn't see the field in the 2nd half. Why???

I live in Atlanta. They feel exactly the same way about their team.

The general consensus for Saturday is that there's no consensus.

I guess the dilemma for we LSU fans is this: We simply don't know if we're a quality opponent yet.
This is a huge game for LSU. So much is at stake. Same goes for UGA. It should be a great one.

UGA fans have learned to fear LSU, ever since we beat 'em twice in one season. This is part of why they are sky-high whenever they've played LSU ever since, and have beat us like a drum.
