Just admit you were wrong when you asserted that Miles' teams have not blown teams out. You can do it...think of it as a character building exercise.

+1 ...after you take the money shot on your face from saban remember last year the tigers should've won that game with anything close to some QB play ..also remember that meltdown your boy saban had with Utah Last year...great coaching explains that or did his team just not play well like LSU is doing now

Look at the Avatar dude, And stop sending me invited to the Les Miles fan club. He is garbage and has this team headed in the wrong direction. He is doing as good a job as the captain of the exon Valdeez.
I am not a Saban fan I hate his guts, but give credit where its due. We are able to recruit because Saban rose the program from the dead, built the Cox Academic center and about 100 other things to resurrect the program, now Miles is running it in to the ground

You spin-meisters are ridiculous. No one has to make points. All you have to do is watch the games. Screw the "he did this against this team" or "Saban lost by more to Troy."
You Miles supporters are so friggin jaded it's comical.
Not to be rude, but you don;t know what the frick you're talking about. the argument I'm having with OP is that he is purposfully distorting the facts. this was his initial point I was responding to:
quote:
Under Saban we blew out inferior opponents. If we were better than a team we squashed them, we got use to that!
That's wrong. it's DEAD wrong, and I pointed it out. He then made the mistake of asking which teams Miles has blown out. I listed them...and he changed the subject.

your just a hater...who apparently is blind just like alot of LSU fans with unreal expectations ..we have a soph QB with a soft O-line and a totally new defensive scheme were not in the same class as Alabama so far this year but give credit to Rolando Mclain , Kareem Jackson, Terrence Cody and the studs Alabama has and less butthole pleasures with nick saban.

I agree with one of the posters that the point is that we are not playing to the standards that we desire and have set for ourselves in the past. BUT unfortunately for GolfPro that is not the point he made in the beginning of the thread. It was mainly about Saban being this great schemer and stomper of lesser teams whereas it is very greatly tilted in the direction of Les.

Oh...I agree. We're not playing that well and are defnitely not where I'd like them to be.
But GolfPro's post was beyond stupid.

He didn't change the subject, a-hole!
You'd rather win a stupid fight about which coach has lost/won by more points. Grow up & look at the big picture. (it's like arguing with friggin children)
The "subject" of the initial post is that Miles teams are playing well & haven't for a long time. The Miles supporters apparently are oblivious to this.

Funny, that seems to be exactly the opposite approach that you're taking. The argument about Miles' winning with Saban's players is stale because Miles won more games with Saban's players than Saban did. Miles has put together incredible recruiting classes and an impeccable winning percentage. As of now, the offense is stalwart because they're still trying to find what works best for the offense given the set of skill players we have, and poor blocking by the O-line. The defense is playing extremely well, but is spending too much time on the field and playing in poor conditions.
My god. Miles HAS coached this team for more than this year and last.

Do we really have to do this?
UAB?
Oregon State?
Troy?

So what you're saying is that the reason Bama looks better than LSU is basically because Saban is getting studs to play there and he is coaching them better? Isn't that the whole argument here?

Um...yeah, he did. He text book changed it. He said something PROVEABLY stupid, and I called him on it. I pointed out the lesser teams his beloved struggled with, and he then asked which teams Miles blew out. I listed them...and then the subject became something else.
He felt the need to go out on the limb to make his point and he got called out on it. Feel free to defend his stupidity, though.

Are you going to force me to show you the Miles blowouts too? Are you REALLY going to waste my fricking time like that simply because you've got a crush on Napoleon?
Thank you. The man crush some fans have for Saban is blinding to their judgment.

I would like to see more fire out of Les, but I'm grateful he doesn't try to be a cheerleader like MSU's coach Saturday.
Posted on 9/28/09 at 12:31 pm to tigerfan34
alll that rah rah rah jumping up and down slapping people on the helmet is very much overrated cause as soon as the ball is snapped that little feeling of intensity is over > we don't need a cheerleader we need some O-line play and a better running game

This is so stupid I don't know where to begin. Last year there were nothing but excuses. This year, more excuses. Bama has a new QB w/ virtually zero experience & they're getting it done....big time.
But I don't care about Bama or Saban. Focus on LSU.
Why is there a soft o-line (coaching? recruiting? maybe it's Perriloux's fault like the QB situation). JJ isn't one of the top 5 problems of this team. O-line, d-line, LB play, punting, PLAY CALLING, blitzes that are always picked up.....
To point out the multiple troubles with the 2009 Tigers and the obvious trending of the program over the past year & half doesn't mean you don't support the team. It means you know something about football and watch the games. To keep making/accepting excuses is IMO unacceptible.
Posted on 9/28/09 at 12:37 pm to Billy Ray Valentine
Said that, do you think LSU is a top 10 football team right now ? Cause being realistic and not making excuses I DON'T, they just aren't there right now but up about billy ray someone was comparing LSU to Bama which is a terrible comparison cause BAMA appears to be worlds ahead of LSU

OK, screw him. I don't care about him....nor do I give 2 shits about Saban or Bama, other than they look like a team with their shite together that will probably hand us our asses this year. Don't care that it happens to be Saban.
What I do care about is how blinded some of you can be to the obvious. This team is not prepared well (whether it be coaching, recruiting, scheme, play calling, execution - all falles under HC's responsibility)and the program has been trending down now for over a year. How long does this have to continue to happen before some of you at least recognize it?
