I thought Lonergan should have gotten the starting job to begin the season. At a minimum, he should have played meaningful minutes during the first four games. Now, with almost no backups having played in the OLine this year, we're in the meat of the schedule with virtually no experience behind the five starters. It is an even more dire situation at center--Lonergan arguably is a better player than TBH, but do you put him in on the road at UGA hoping his first shotgun snap isn't launched like a Russian missle (pun intended)?

I don't know anything about Lonergan, but surely T-Bob is not starting because his last name is Hebert, right?

He should have had been playing a few series along the way. Don't think he will be put in at Georgia with no prior game experience unless T Bob gets hurt!!

ok--he's bigger, stronger, can also play guard (suggesting more athletic), and the inside running game this year has been pitiful.

Take this for what is worth... My dad's dentist is PJ's dad and he and I were talking yesterday (my dad) and he said he went to see his dentist last week and asked about LSU and how PJ is taking this. he said that PJ is disgusted with the lack of play time and that he was told he'd get some time. PJ's dad said he is keeping his mouth shut becuase he is afraid to make the situation worse and he could walk.

I don't see that happening... but

Did T-Bob get this spot becuase of his old man? I know he did not go to LSU but he has stroke in the football community?

There is an obvious problem with the interior... I say give PJ a shot.

PJ is listed at 305 i believe. T-Bob is under 300. I have read, can't remember were that PJ had more athletic ability than T-bob.

true, maybe, not really relevant (maybe), and most definitely.

I was hoping for "he can't be any worse". and with T-Bob getting all the snaps, I'm wondering if that's even true.

I heard T Bob was grading out higher than any other linemen.

TBH's only position is center. PJ didn't play center in HS, but he's made the conversion at LSU. Maybe TBH can do backflips on a balance beam, but this suggests PJ is more athletic. Regardless, both should have played in September, with the coaches settling on the guy who played best by the time the UGA game rolled around. As it stands now, I don't think anyone but the starting five OLinmen have played.
