it is desperately important that you get over yourselves! 4-0 is 4-0. And, 2-0 in the SEC is nothing less than terrific. Who among you thought for a second, with MSU on the 2 yard line with a First and Goal, that LSU would pull off a victory? But, they did. These are 18 to 22 year old boys who have played their hearts out for four straight weeks and have emerged victorious each of those four weeks! Yes, we've won two national titles in the past six years, a fact for which we can all say, "Hallelujah!" But, that really has nothing to do with the present. Like they say in golf, "It ain't how, but how many!" Bottom line is... this collective arrogance, among our fan base, which presumes that we should be winning every game by 40 points, demonstrates a perverted level of expectations that does nothing to inspire these magnificent young ball players in whom we've placed our hopes. What they've done successfully is position themselves beautifully for the rest of the season ahead, and it's time for all of our fans to quit all this pain-in-the-arse nitpicking and get behind their efforts 100%!

Please. God. Make. It. Stop.

Talk about the game. Talk about the team. SOMETHING. This 'bad fan good fan' discussion does nothing but water down the board's quality.

How? All it does is result in fighting every time. You never see a follow up on one of these threads where someone says 'OMG I never thought of it like that!"

It only results in insults and bickering.

So you're saying the team is perfect, will win every game left and we don't need to post anything on here except happy topics like rainbows and unicorns? If you got a D in a class do you say "i passed, hell yeah!" Or, do you go to the books harder and say "algebra kicked my arse and i scraped by, so i need to get better because calculus is gonna hand me a beat down.?" Urban Meyer has a couple of NC's over at UF...do you see them letting up? NO! They are poised to bring home number 3. YOu can have mediocrity...go be a Tulane fan.

This mediocrity is acceptable attitude is what will keep an average coach around long enough to make your program just that…mediocre.

Who is saying that we don't need to improve? Who is saying we are satisfied with the mechanics of play? I see what you see. I'm just not a whiny pussy. The Tigers are winning, even if it is not in the style of domination we would all like to see. The win is the goal. They are scrapping and fighting through mistakes. This MSU game was a nice wake up call for the rest of our schedule. If we go in to scrap- we've got a shot. I believe we will improve.

Wake up dude. We started out 4-0 last year. We don't expect to win every game by 40 points but we don't expect to need a GL stand to beat a Mississippi State team who has four turnovers. We are more talented at practically every position and that team shouldn't even be in the game. It should have been a comfortable win. I understand that State is in the SEC but anyone who watched the game knows that they are a bad and I mean BAD team. And they played even worse.

Just because we are 4-0 doesn't mean that we are a good team. In fact, it is very much within reason to be alarmed by the fact that we haven't beaten teams in a dominant fashion. Teams that should have been beaten in dominant fashion. The problem is that the current body of work indicates that we are likely to lose several games again this year unless something changes.

I've done more than my share of whining about the team's level of leadership and play. I've done a fair amount of blaming of coaches, too. But overnight, it hit me: if this really was the bad old days (Archer, Hallman, et al), MSU would have won yesterday. LSU is finding the way to win so far. I'm willing to say that's good enough to be ranked #4 for this week, and that's good enough for me. So, Geaux Coach Miles and Staff; and GEAUX TIGERS! Our team is the best!

I disagree. It is the quality of the posts that waters down the board. As long as negativity is accepted or propomted this boar wll neer be more tan a forum for PSEUDO FANS.

It doesn't take any courage t predict dom and cheer success.

It does take a pair sometimes to post lke Militaryct did. Bt some people cannot ever see past the trees, complain only about the bad and never see the good and criticize those that try to make it different.

Don't get me wrong...i'm behind this team all the way. However, this team has a lot of talent and it's not being utilized. In this conference, that's bad because this program will be left behind so fast in today's game. The program should be getting better and it doesn't really seem to be. The offense isn't even in the top 100 of 119 or so division 1-a teams after the weak arse teams we played. We got by, but I see 4 potential losses over the next 5 weeks that could occur because Les can't seem to figure out how to get this team's proverbial "shite" together.

So this "mediocrity" you speak of is being the only coach in lsu history to beat Florida, Alabama, auburn, ole miss in the same year, and he has done it twice. It's a top 5 recruiting class 3 out of 4 years mediocre. It's getting to the seccg 2 out of 4 times and winning it all once. It's going 14-6 in games decided by 7 points or less. It's winning every out of conferrence game, including bowl games. If that is mediocre, I would love to see what you call good.
