As Mack Brown said yesterday at his luncheon.

"I would rather be an ugly 3-0 and have chances to improve than start out 3-0 playing good and peak too early in the season."

Or look like a world beater against cupcakes as opposed to working out kinks against respectable teams. Vandy is iffy but ULL is no slouch and Washington just beat the mighty USC.

Exactly, isn't it a GOOD thing that we aren't playing our best football right now?

But we haven't "looked" good. I'm a fan and I feel like the team should be dominant for ME. I've followed this tema for so long, I have the RIGHT to complain and bitch and nick pick everything I see. IT'S GOING TO BITE US IN THE REAR!!!!!!

Mack Brown would've been fired years ago if he coached an SEC team.

As long as the team knows what it is. That improvement is continuous and complacency is death. Happy about the dept and multitude of potential weapons that haven't reached full stride. Not happy about the fans who look past the next opponent or disrespect them. These are the most exciting times in LSU football, but not the time to sit on it.

This is valid, as a team doesn't want to peak too early...but let's just hope we peak before the last game of the season, like we did last year.

That guy sounds like the ultimate politician when he talks. He should run for Congress. I actually hate it when I hear him speak. It always sounds like he is trying to force his point of view and mince words in every interview. He never says anything substantial, or ever admits to anything wrong.

I agree with this, but there's no guarantee that this isn't our peak.

If you think this is our peak, then you need to quit watching LSU football and GTFO!!

I'm gonna be a wee positive and think this isn't the best LSU can/will play.

When did I say I thought this is our peak?

There is, however, the possibility that we don't improve much.

I made that same statement last year throughout the season. I know we looked good in the bowl game, but we don't get a month to prepare for most opponents.

Again, I think we'll improve, but after last year I have to prepare for the alternative.

Not saying you are wrong, but what exactly makes you say this?
