Kentucky and Arkansas in 2007 were similar. As was Arkansas last year. I'm not bashing Miles, simply pointing out that it your question isn't exactly a hypothetical.

This year I don't know if you could call SC loss to Washington a mind boggling upset. SC is really shitty at QB. I love how the media was all over Barkley after the Ohio State game for that last drive. He threw a couple of decent balls to some wide open receivers and then handed off the rest of the time. somehow handing off and letting that stud OL maul makes him clutch. Corp doesn't look like he gets it yet.

I see now why pete pitched a fit when his QB declared early. He knew he was going to struggle at QB for a year.

no they weren't, not even close. Ark. went to Cotton Bowl, UK to Music City. Washington coming off of an winless season. As losses go, UK and Ark. losses more respectable, though we should have won both and it's fair to blame coaching for both.

There is no such thing as a respectable lose when you are at the caliber that the USC and LSU programs are at currently.

Arkansas went to the Cotton Bowl because they beat us. They then proceeded to get skull dragged by Missouri 38 - 7. And the Music City Bowl? Seriously?

Anyway, it humors me that this year's Washington team just must be terrible because last year's team was bad. If you can sit there with a straight face and say that you would bet the house on 2007 Arkansas/Kentucky over 2009 Washington, then that's you. I certainly can't.

If he won us 7 straight SEC titles I would be inclined to forgive him if we lost to a team like Moo St once a year.

this is not the same comparison IMO. Pete Carrol has lost 3 years in a row to teams not even on the radar. I think Kentucky was ranked pretty high in 2007 and Arkansas certainly was ranked higher than Washinton.

Losing to Stanford is like losing to a ranked Kentucky and Ark? Really?
