Whatever happened to the "Mad Hatter", "play our asses off", "have a great day", etc? I have yet to see him get upset or excited at all during this season. It's like he is given morphine before the game. I really think this is one of the reasons why the team has no identity/intensity.

He hasn't played against a team that could actually beat us.

Save the intensity for the big games.

These games are practice, nothing more.

SO UW beat usc and vandy was down by 7 midway throughthe 4th and we havent played anybody that could beat us....

LM looks about as enthused about this football season as our players and fans.

Nega-tigers have beat him down. Don't worry Miles I also have a strong disgust for the fanbase at the moment.

Our fans are more unreasonable than Bama's, and I never thought I would make this statement.

He's making bank now. You get a little soft and complacent as a result of that. Miles will keep us at about a 9-3 average while he is here but will never have the drive or intensity of a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. We will maintain an Outback/Cotton/Capital One Bowl status for the forseeable future but with the SEC West in particular being tougher now I would stop hoping for SEC Championships/National Championships anymore. You have to reset your expectations in order to not be disappointed.

Nope. We weren't going to lose against either team. Just because UW beat USC who started Jarrett Lee at QB doesn't change that.

I don't know GeneralLee, it must be the chlorine in the water he is drinking. Too much floride in the toothpaste he is using. Too many foods with Aspartame in them. He is putting his family first over his $4 Mil. job. All the above. Or he is one confused man???????

He got on the O line pretty hard at one point in the 2nd half, so I'll say he still has some fire in him, and I would expect this based on how they are playing, but they did open up some bigger holes after his 'talk'.

It's not unreasonable to expect more from a team that has top flight talent but plays like a mid-level team. We heard during the offseason about the drive on this team and how things were going to be different, but that hasn't happened. While it does not mean the sky is falling, this is not the performance that the coaching staff all but guaranteed during Fall practice.

BTW, if the LSU fanbase has some "unreasonable" expectations, I'd say we're entitled somewhat. LSU has won two NC's in the last 7 years and recruited the kind of talent that should be able to do this again soon. We want to win...what's unreasonable about that?

It's a sane post. But I just don't think we're as good as the fanbase thinks we are. We're a 9-3 team with 12-0 expectations. We went 8-5 last year, lost two starters on the offensive line, have a 19 year-old starting QB still getting his feet wet, and the defense is basically the same personnel that got pushed around last year. And all of a sudden we're going to run the table.

We are what you see. It's time to just recognize it. What I don't know yet and none of us will til October is just how good all of these other SEC teams are.

Right, also, not that they should not be fired up to play these teams, but when there is no excuse for being passionate, i.e. georgia, Florida, and how the coaches and players respond, then we can make more accurate assessments. Right now though, we are not quite in rhythm on O

genuineLSUtiger, so it looks like you've given up. resigned that Miles will not turn the team around (ever). we are on that downward slide now that Saban's players are gone. while what you espouse may occur, there is no precedent in miles career to suggest that. i wonder (and have been for awhile) if you are an alabama fan having a little fun. my take is that we are rebuilding our O Line, QB and D Line positions. i am OK with giving Coach Miles a little time to do that. The SEC west is gonna be rough to win for us and for the other teams too; this year and the immediate future. UF will struggle also now that Harvin is gone and when Tebow leaves.

This....happens to rock stars, athletes, coaches, everyone loses their edge. Except for a very few (Saban, Meyer, etc.)

That fire should be vented during practices and before each game. A $4 Mil. coach can be human but he can't be soft 75% of the time.

I'd rather Miles' calm demenor on the side line over Tebow's constant cheerleading routine. I saw the highlights from the Florida game and he's either A) yelling till he's red in the face or B) pumping up the crowd.

Does he do that shite after every play now? I wonder what he is saying. "Come on! Guy's come on! You can do it! Come on, guys!"
