Tiger Band Pre-Game Change

There was a discussion a couple of days ago about the band diverting to the Assembly Center after their march down the Hill, rather than going into the stadiu. Most were disgusted with the change in such a longstanding tradition. I agree.
I work with someone whose son is in the band. He confirmed all of this and stated that the band director has long wanted to change the tradition and entertain TAF after the Hill, rather than before. He did not like entering the stadium 2 hours early.
Who is this guy, thinking that LSU traditions are his to change? If he wants to get in the stadium an hour later, come down the Hill an hour later.

Would that not also be a change in tradition? They don't really get to play before the game anyway with the piped in crap. No big deal to me.

Does it really matter that much where we go AFTER we run down the hill? We're just getting in the stadium a tad later than usual.

ur friends son is a dumbass, the real reason we arent going into the back of the pmac is construction, the pluses are that we are in the stadium with only an hour remaining, that is what one of the assistant directors likes. Plus, that one assistant director loves LSU and values all tradition he has made the program what it is today.

if this is the case then it doesn't sound like too big of a change
but i really don't understand why the TAF members HAVE to have yall play for them

TAF donates alot of money to the band, and i think they pay for us to go in and play a concert. We need the money

they do what TAF wants because TAF pays for almost everything

Thanks for the smartass answer. There are plenty of places before that you could have turned. Just trying to pinpoint where.

Pretty sure the only thing you need is a TAF membership card to get in. Isn't the minimum donation you can make pretty reasonable?
