He earned it in 2006 and 2007 too, but that hasn't stopped Les from wasting his talent. Good thing we got all 4.9 ypc out of Hester in 2007 though!

I say this not only because Williams ran much better than Scott...but Scott also fumbled and we all know how much Les hates fumbles.

Was the fumble the reason Scott was benched or did Les just want to run the pistol the rest of the night and kept Keiland in for that?

I think it was because of the fumble.

without the Scott fumble Keiland will never get 12 carries in any game

Scott seems to struggle without a FB in front of him sometimes. If you take out his first run for 21 yards, he averaged ~2.8 ypc the rest of the game. Now, a few of those were taken from the FB spot, but I wouldn't mind seeing Scott at FB with Wililams at TB a little more. Glad I saw it in that game.

I thought Scott played OK. Not his usual outstanding game, but he still managed around 50 yards on a dozen carries. As for the fumble, I believe that was only his second fumble at LSU. I read that in an ESPN article. Give him a break.

Neaux! Having watched the replay- CS had some solid runs and at times nowhere to run. The fumble hurt, but only his 2nd in 2 years. There were 3 times where KW was late or never picked up the blitz.

I don't think the fumbles have limited his PT- its his knowledge of the playbook and ability to play consistently. I am hoping we also see Ridley soon- who was on several ST plays.

Before u get down on Scott, the Ol has to do some blocking. Washington game plan was to stop Scott. I was shocked Miles did not let JJ pass down the field When we get in the sec those 5 yd. passes aren't going to work too well.

I sort of thought it was the old Pound it up the middle for 3 quarters with Scott, then bring in KW with the fresh legs in the 4th.

I like KW coming in late when their D has to be wearing down.

Part that, part we couldn't run up the middle AT ALL that game. Williams is a better runner on the outside then Scott is, and when you can't run up the middle to save your life, the logical solution is to put in a better RB and start running it outside (ex. the last offensive drive when we started running the option a bunch)

I agree I would like to see Scott and Williams in the backfield more, but I don't think Williams deserved to start last year or the year before. We had Big Herm BLASTING holes open in the middle, its logical that when you run out of the i formation and pound it inside to use your bigger stronger back.

I think now that our o line is a little bit smaller and Crowton has expressed interest in them pulling more, we'll probaby see more of Williams at certain times as opposed to Scott.

They are both excellent RB's but you gotta use the one that fits your style the best. In the past that was Scott, maybe now its more Williams. We'll see how the oline does against Vandy.

I kinda want to see how Scott handles his poor showing. I would expect him, (and the offensive line), to be lights out against Vandy.

Why can't Richard Murphy touch the ball every once in awhile?

JJ/KW option seems to be the focal point of the O this year though (and it works).

two times. there were only 6 plays on the whole drive. From the Pistol, KW also ran one off guard for an excellent gain.

I'd have to go back and check, but when we lined up in the Pistol, I sort of remember W's D would spread out, which actually opened up the middle for us (As opposed to Scott in the I)

Anyone else surprised that we threw for the final TD when we were chewing up the clock? Les' normal MO would be to get some more runs in and get to the end of the game faster.

Could it have been one of these reasons?
1. Scott is regarded as better goalline back and not enough field spacing for Keiland.
2. Opportunity to get JJ more confidence and appease Lafell.
3. A rollout would go against tendencies and have a better chance of success.

I'm sure most will laugh at 3 after the playcalling all night. I lean towards 1.

I watched the game again...Scott had some runs.

What LSU fans are remembering is the dive plays for 1 yard gains
