I'll admit it was a nice tip and catch, but pure luck. Fact is Jacob C. is too slow to be an SEC LB
Really, did not see anyone catch him prior to scoring a TD last night, but then again people said the same thing about Hester. You sir are rediculous.

The kool-aide drinking "a win is a win" crap is ridiculous. That was a horrible performance and playing like that will get us another 8-5 or worse of a season. A "win is a win" mentality is settling for mediocrity as a fan. I certainly hope the coaches don't think this way.
Look around,
Didnt really see many top teams smoking their competition like they were supposed to. Ohio State struggled with Navy at home, OU lost to BYU in Dallas, Bama took a while to get it going at a neutral site. We went 2500 miles against a team that was fighting as hard as u will probably see all season. New coach, decent QB, decent RB, us with a new defensive scheme, and a fairly new QB. It was sloppy, but it was also the first game. I think we pull it together. No reason to start freaking out but hey, this is LSU and we do have some winey arse fans. Im not worried.
Didnt we struggle against Ariz St and Oregon State when we played them week one as well??

there is some dumb arse fans on this board if some of u watched football it would shock me i will admit the first half the defense didnt look to good but LSU'S offense was terrible in the first half the defense couldnt get off the field and when they did the offense went 3 and out in the second half LSU looked much better on both sides of the ball in my opinion LSU will contend for the sec champioship because crowton did not show much on offense and the d will get better every game this year but the offense will have to move the ball more not so many 3 and outs im not worried at all to me Crowton called a very vanillia gameplan i dont think the coaches were expecting a dog fight that Washington put up

I didn't realize Washington was 0-12. Hard to beleive it was their 13th game of the year while we were just playing our first game. No wonder they were so well prepared.
As for the "luck", it could have happened differently. Cutrera could have not had that pick 6. We could have not recovered that fumble inside our own 10 but we did. Chuck scott could have not fumbled but he did. We got breaks, they got breaks. We came out on top. Any thing chalked up to luck is fricking ridiculous. It happens both ways. We won. Get over it.
I can't imagine so many grown "men" are willing to get on this board and bash coaches and players over a game on the road that we WON. I can only imagine what all you idiots would be doing or saying had we lost.
I see all these 5 paragraph game summaries and with the exception of one or two of you, you have no clue what you're talking about. If you did, maybe you should go talk to Joe alleva about replacing Les or chavis since there are at least 100-150 of you that could do a much better job.

Really....
UK 42 MU 0
TENN 63 WKU 7
MSU 45 JSU 7
AUB 37 LT 13
ARK 48 MOS 10
FLA 62 SCU 3
VAN 45 WCU 0 <--- Doesn't bode well for next week
ALA 34 VT 24
Other than us and our UGA friends (UGA 10, OSU 24), I don't think any of our other SEC brethren had trouble covering the spread. (Actually I think UF may have been a 70+ pt favorite, but who's counting!)

WKU and LT are the only teams on that list besides vt that are D1 teams. If you think we would have only beaten charleston southern or Jackson state by 1 score you probably have no business commenting on anything in this thread.
You think vandy beating western fricking Carolina 45 to nothing has ANY bearing what so ever on next week?

I save my playing for when we lose the 1st game of the year and not when we win it.
But hey, that's just me...each to our own.

i agree. i think udub will be improved without a shadow of a doubt but theres no excuse for poor we played last night. if chavis and miles dont lay into the players this week then they never will, that washington team is nowhere near as talented. i fully expect us to come out and whip vandy and if we dont then this season is not looking good at all

Seriously???
Miami of OH, WKU, Jackson St (a SWAC team!!!), La Tech, MOS (really, who is this??) SCU, Western Carolina???????????? Thats a gauntlet right there. Washington was 0-12 last year true, but thats without their QB and RB from last night and Tyrone coaching them. THey have good coaching now on both sides of the ball and they were 100% jacked last night. Your an idiot if you dont think Washington doesnt beat every team that played SEC competition besides VT and Okie St.

You do realize that was last year? New Players....New Coaches...Lockler healthy.
I didn't read past the 1st sentence.
