9:30, still no way would I go on opening weekend. I have been to The Audubon Zoo atleast 100 times and enjoy it. But, not enough for opening weekend.

See, your problem is that you didn't remind her of it ad nauseum. I've informed my girlfriend every day for the past three weeks or so of how many days remained until opening day. That way, we would have zero chance at miscommunication

The game doesn't start until 9:30pm. I'm pretty sure you could go to the zoo and still have plenty of time to be shitfaced by gametime. Take the kids to the zoo and enjoy some time with your family.
I'll be watching UGA-OSU, drinking Maker's, and enjoying my wife taking the kids to her mom's.
