Everyone has heard of dipping their McD's fries in their shakes, but the other day, my daughter was eating apple sauce. the next thing I know, I look up and she has a bag of plain potato chips and dipping it in the apple sauce.
She said it was yummie!!
I tried it and it is actually VERY good (jamming actually!!!)

Can't relate to McD since I've never had their fries or their shakes. But my dad surprised me when I was a kid. He dipped some potato chips in BBQ sauce. This was in the 50s before BBQ flavored chips came out. I tried it and it was great.

Great Post!
My 3 year old dips his fries in honey mustard and blue cheese, I will admit I have not tried it!
This is preview of the next generation of great chefs.

What do they say on the O-T... Germans?
This is a classic combo in Germany, especially at christmas time. In a weinachtsmarkt, you can order kartoffelpuffen mit apfelmus.
You are 100% correct as this is one of my most missed deutsch cuisines. Pretty easy recipe Here. You can thank me later.
P.S. it's basically a huge hashbrown with a side of applesauce.

Man, I just don't get sweet and savory. I know, I know, I've heard it all before. About how I'm missing out on all this great stuff. I keep trying it every now and then thinking my tastes might change, but it always ends badly.
Sweet and salty just don't belong together.

Here's one for you, and a pretty good one at that. The complimentary soft serve at Jason's Deli pairs well with just a schoshe of the au jus from their Beefeater sandwich. Odd? Yes. Tasty? Indeed.
