I see the DL as a strength.

I'm gonna have to disagree.........Run stopping DE's may be our weakest link....we have the beef and strength to plug in the middle but we don't have the run stuffers on the end like we've had in the past.

On the other hand, we do have better pass rushers than we've had in the past on the outside.

I agree that DL may be the weakest link considering the run defense only. I think we will have a better pass rush than last year. To say we will have serious problems stopping the run is quite a stretch.

I was thinking punting. From what I've read, our punter hits them high but not very long.

What exactly are we going to have problems with? Maybe if we have certain injuries, but other than that I think the D run or pass will be just fine.

agree with the Special Teams....but my biggest concern has to be QB. We have a true Sophmore with 2 starts and then not much else. I'm really hopeful and optimistic about JJ, but it still has to be the biggest concern. The season will ultimately depend on QB play.

OL; especially our lack of depth and breaking in a new center that will be making the adjustment calls at the line of scrimmage. I'm a little worried about special teams too, particularly PK and punter.

Conversely, I think our DL and run defense will be one of our biggest strengths. We probably have more talent in the interior DL than any other position on the team.

What alot of people dont understand about Defensive tackles, they arent there to be run stoppers by themselves. There job is to take on blocks and protect the linebackers from getting blocked. If they do there job the linebackers can step up and make the tackles.

No, the defense tackles arent the weak link in run stopping. The weak link in run defense for LSU has been the Linebackers stepping down and plugging the holes. Part of that is due to the aggressiveness of our linebackers. Over pursuit was huge issue last year.

Imo the weak link will be our pass rush and corners. If we can cover one on one on the corners it allows us to be very aggressive with the extra saftey. It will allow the saftey to be another rusher like (Leron Landry) was used for. The defensive tackles will have to improve on shedding blocks to be good pass rushers.

The answer is obviously LB

you have Riley and sheppard who had their moments but were generally unimpressive, especially sheppard, IMO

The staff seems to be putting a lot of stock in Cutrera who has been mediocre at best thus far, and also has a history with injuries. Then you have a converted safety in Coleman

and behid those guys is nothing but inexperience
