tavo, martini, etc. -- what is the deal with the uncle O's catering on south harrell's ferry .. i am assuming it is in that old building on the corner ... what does he do in there ? just to go orders and catering ? guess it doesn't make sense that he would shut down shop and then suddenly re-open so to speak right across the street from it ... am i correct in assuming ouncy might have realized he made a rash decision in shutting that place down ?

I remember Ouncy fron the old fairway view.
He looked like he blew dried his hair behind a jet engine

Rag's.....Ounce just goes with the flow...I don't think he ever wanted to get out of the business...just wanted to take some time off...he tended bar for a while at Boudreaux and thibedeaux downtown....talked about opening up in there...but the cost to rewire and plumb up a kitchen was too much.....The people across from the old Uncle O's were going to open an Italian restaurant....built the kitchen but never went through with it....so Ounce moved in...he has some tables...serves lunch and caters...really doesn't want to get back into a full service restaurant agian....stop in, he would love to see you.

I pass this place all the time and was wondering the same a rag. It is misleading since there are a bunch of cars for sale on that corner.
I need to stop in a grab a bite to eat now that my kids are in school.

I have some good memories from the old Fairway View from the earl 90's. I spent a few super bowl Sundays and other weekends there eating seafood platters and drinking way to strong drinks for someone 18 to 20 years old.

The Main house is a used car lot....the east side with the exaust fans on the roof is the kitchen area...I think you have to go around to the east side....Leave something personal on your dash or they will sell your car.
