We have a .500 starting QB, so why all the optimism?

We have a QB that has 2 starts under his belt and a win over what many of us would consider a very overrated GT squad.

What has Jefferson shown you in his minimal experience to make you believe that he is ready to break out this season?

I'm not sure it's what he's done, it's more what he hasn't done (ie pick 6)

He doesn't have to be great.
We had about as bad of a defense as we have ever had last year and a qb who was color blind based on who he threw too and we still did ok at times.

A one year older/wiser Jefferson. A way better defense. All points to a 10-2 or 9-3 season.

I saw his ability and leadership in high school and again after only one game under his belt in the GT game. What have you seen to be so pescimistic?

Spot on. Hopefully the Indy Bowl will take us if we'll lucky enough to go 6-6.

i'm not downing the guy at all. not being 11-1 or 10-2 optimistic with games vs. UF, @ Bama, @ Ole Miss and @ UGA does not make me pessimistic........just being a little more....realistic

young man's growing pains probably are not over, but i do think he has the opportunity to become a fine QB

Well, JJ doesn't play defense, but I have no complaints with LSU putting up 30 and 38 points, respectively in the two games he started.

my thing is, we only need a QB to come in and not make crucial mistakes. we have enough weapons that as long as we have a decent QB, we should be fine. jefferson is a winner.

Eggzactly. We fcked it up about as bad as we could last year based on our talent, and still came out descent and rolled GT in a bowl game.
No way we lose to Auburn at home. UF, UG, Bama, Ole Miss are toss ups, but I bet we split those games.

9-3 is reasonable, but 8-4 or 10-2 would not surprise me

JJ actually led us down the field for a few drives instead of going 3 and out. It was fun in the bowl game to see someone complete a few passes to move the chains.

Maybe its just that you are negative like 80 percent of tiger fans and the rest of us are optimistic because we believe in CLM and the players he has recruited
